I was already on the fence, but Agog has convinced me to switch my vote.

+1 Maze Glider

+1 Maze Glider Simple, we have multi-colored cards easily to table. We can easily make them fly if this table. We will never have to worry about fly-ers.

I'm loving the Maze Glider as well. I just want to see some fanart of our deck combo'd with a bioshock feel for our Big Daddies "IN THE SKY" (Urinetown reference anyone?).

I call it "Skyclops"

It's beautiful. Maze Glider it is then.

I think it's the best play. If we have 2 or 3 cyclopses out plus the glider, then activate using Hidden Strings we're winning. They won't be able to block anything and will just eat 11-15 to the face. If we activate with something else they're going to lose whatever flyers they have blocking because ours will be bigger. I'm loving this deck so far.

Great artwork!

The deck is shaping up nicely. Strong in the air, good alpha strike potential, good defense, benign casting costs, possibly two color deck... Not bad for less than half-way through the draft.

Hopefully we can have cheap enough spells that we can cast two and get 7/4 attackers.

We do need to start prioritizing instants and sorceries, though. Otherwise this deck will flop.

July 9, 2013 7:21 p.m.

We can't over-prioritize them. Once we get probably 8 or 9 solid ones we'll be set. Too many spells is worse than creating a cyclops board stall.

Basically, at the pace we're already going we'll have a perfect deck. We should just stay the course.

And cipher is all our joys incarnate. Can't forget that.

Also, just as a note, I LOVE THIS TEAM. Really guys, it's been courteous, kind, and constructive since the get go. Also fun.

Yeah it's been a fun experience so far. Hopefully this style of DDD is the first of many

Yeah very good group dynamic here

Way more functional than the mob free-for-all

oh gosh the memories of that last draft still make me shudder. ALL I WANTED WAS A RAKDOS DRAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

July 9, 2013 10:55 p.m.

If you start trying to draft Rakdos Drake in this deck ima internet slap you. Just sayin.

But yeah, that last DDD was pretty much awful. So much hate.

I'm enjoying the team aspect of this comparatively to the way we've done the DDD in the past. I'm not sure how the other teams are liking this, but our team has been awesome to work with thus far, and I hope that continues.

Also, I'd like it if we didn't lose "Skyclops" with tomorrows update. Perhaps our 2nd piece of artwork could be added to the deck description? It would just be more wall swag.

Maybe if we win we'll be the "reigning champions" and get automatic inclusion in the next DDD!

Awww group hug time :-)

Personally I feel like we are lucky and most of us are adults which makes it easier to find common ground and less likely we get into pissing matches. Skyclops FTW!

I'm OK with Maze Glider which fits our deck very well. In any case no matter which we take both are common and so we probably see both in later packs.

In any case since we've cemented our base to Izzet with at most small white/green splash I'll remake the team logo to reflect that when I have some time.

'Sup.

I'm seeing three choices here:

Rubblebelt Maaka : Decent creature but kinda meh for our strategy. Easy to cast and in our colors, though.

Gruul Guildgate : Finally a piece of R/g or U/g fixing. We should absolutely take this if we don't take...

Flesh / Blood : There's about a -1% chance we'll ever cast Flesh, but Blood is actually pretty crazy strong for our strategy. If it's the second spell we cast that turn, we get to deal 7 damage to any target. Even if it's the first spell we cast, that's still 4 damage for 2 mana. The efficiency of this card is insane in our deck.

My vote goes to Flesh / Blood because it fits our theme and removal is removal.

Would either be Flesh / Blood , Phytoburst or Gruul Guildgate for me, with a heavy leaning toward the rarest of them. And as mentioned removal is sorely lacking for us, and we need activators, so my vote:

+1 Flesh / Blood

I also think Flesh / Blood is the right pick here. Although I wish we could grab a guildgate for once, and this gate would turn on our green splash for Give / Take and Beetleform Mage . Sad to see it go, but a playable rare is a playable rare.

+1 Flesh / Blood

Sad to see the Gruul Guildgate go by, but Blood is an awesome combo with the cyclops.

+1 Flesh / Blood

On a side note, this is a particularly ugly pack for us. Odds are this is the last card we'll take out of it with any hope of making the deck.
