How about the ability to turn other people's powers into Supernatural protection from another person's ability to turn other people's superpowers into "The ability to turn inanimate objects into pudding".Word to your mother.

Well, if you wasted your superpower on that, then you wouldn't have the original "The ability to turn inanimate objects into pudding" power in the first place, so it kinda defeats the purpose.
Also, I feel that the Objects --> Pudding power would be pretty powerful. Turning a tank or a fighter jet or bullets into pudding would be awesome. And for those more perverse individuals, 'clothes' is an inanimate object.
Just sayin'.

Also, sidenote to everyone, although it is unlikely many will read this before I post an update and remove it, causing me to repeat myself:
Some teams have reported some errors in the way packs have been passing, ie people getting their 3rd pack instead 1st this last pick. This obviously hasn't affected us, but I don't know what that means for the rest of the draft, or the groups it has affected. Still waiting to hear from Caley. Will post more when I know. As far I know now, this is a minor bump and wont change anything too drastically. Just thought I should let the group know what's what at the moment.

Hey folks. Due to technical difficulties on Caley's end, pick 9 is being redone today. Some groups got screwed up picks so the easiest way to undo that is scratch yesterday and have the ACTUAL pick 9 today. Fortunately for us, we got our correct pack and have made our pick, so today is a BYE.
Now then, back to useless superpowers, I suppose.

Darkness1835 I like the camouflage change to Progenitus to make it less intrusive.
Any reason we don't start moving the mainboard cards into the deck? If we are worried about the color wheel, we can increase the progenitus to 1000 or something huge.

@Agog- I'm going to keep things separated for now to avoid clutter. I'll probably ditch the progeniti near the end of pack 3, just to maximize security.

Bad cards. I'd say take Clear a Path . It's about the best hate card anyone could side in against us.
The other option is Maze Runner, but there's just no way we need 3 6CMC cards.

I dont want to take any more 6cmc creatures. Our deck wont be able to support it. In the dying bits of a game, we want to be drawing spells to pump our guys, not big guys that don't affect the board too much. Unless it's another Glider we can swap in for our tentative Rusher, of course.
I think it's wise to take the Clear a Path
. Could seriously put a hamper on things if played against us, and there's nothing else in this pack worth taking. Although I could see a case being made for Golgari Cluestone
to deprive some of those junk players from getting too much fixing. After all, who's going mainboard a bunch of defender hate? Clear a path could very well sit unused in someone's leftover card pool. For me I'm split between the cluestone and clear a path, leaning towards the sorcery.

There's only two defenders in DGM besides Nivix Cyclops . My quick count off the packs listing was
I suppose can end up running into some of these. We could also potentially use it on our cyclops just to activate the other cyclops. But basically I hope that our future instants & sorceries are such that we never feel the need to put Clear a Path in our main board unless someone has really gone to town on gathering the other defenders.

Clear a Path is a sorcery. It's pretty bad. I don't think anyone is going to pick it up unless they have to. But anyone who's splashing red, or the other Izzet team, could use this against us and wreck our plans.
I agree with TiredTofu, we don't need another 6 CMC dude (unless it's another Maze Glider , then we just won play the other Maze Rusher ).
So what's the pick here? Do we steal the Golgari Cluestone so that the other players can't grab it? Do we take the Azorius Cluestone to attempt to play Advent of the Wurm ? Or do we take Gleam of Battle because it can make all the difference come the late game?
I'm voting for Clear a Path . At least we can play it out of the sideboard, if we have to. Although I highly doubt we'll have to worry about it.

It's a bad card, but if we don't take it someone else will have it and 100% sideboard it against us if they have any red available to them, and that would be bad news. There was another copy in the first set of packs we didn't take either and who's to say the same guy doesn't end up with both copies? Can't vote any other way:

Only two of the cards in this pack really affect the board in ways we care about. Clear a Path is obviously a card we don't want to see played against us. Removing half our deck for one mana seems bad. Maze Rusher is pretty lackluster, but a surprise 6 damage is more dangerous than you'd think.
My vote is going to have to go towards Clear a Path , though. If they can't remove our cyclopi, then we're probably going to have pressured them enough by the time they get 6 mana that a haste creature won't help much.

+1 Clear a Path . It will swing a stalled boardstate faster than anyone could realize, against us or for us. I can imagine people maining those Murmuring Phantasm , and I can also image how fun it will be to smash and bash those ghosties right out of the way of our skyclopi troops.

That'd rule, but there are a ton of awesome possible pulls we could hope for. Personally I'm gunning for Turn / Burn . Double activation plus eliminates at least one blocker woohoo!
