My take on mono black devotion.

using the Brain Maggot I attempt to gain card advantage and get a quick glimpse at my opponents hand.

I attempt to quickly swing out with evasion creature such as Master of the Feast & Herald of Torment

I gain card and mana advantage again using cards such as Underworld Connections + King Macar, the Gold-Cursed

using the removal to spot remove problematic creatures as well as the King Macar, the Gold-Cursed + Springleaf Drum I tap him for mana when he untaps i gain an artifact for mana and exile a creature.

using my Gray Merchant of Asphodel + Whip of Erebos I keep my life total high.
