Commander: Animar, Soul of Elements

The deck on legs.

Important card choices explained:1. Clone, Body Double, Phyrexian Metamorph & Progenitor Mimic: these are the clones. You will most likely clone your own creatures to get ETB effects. Good non-obvious choices are cloning a Deceiver Exarch, Molten Primordial , Pestermite or Zealous Conscripts to untap a mana slut to get extra mana since your creatures cost less to cast; or cloning Myojin of Life's Web to get a new divinity counter, dumping the original thanks to the M14 legendary rule; or cloning a Man-o'-War, bounce either back to your hand, play it again, etc to get a shitload of counters on Animar, Soul of Elements.2. Deadeye Navigator: this guy can go infinite if some conditions are met. If you have Maelstrom Wanderer, Urabrask the Hidden or Anger giving your creatures haste, you can bond the navigator to Bloom Tender or Somberwald Sage and flicker it. Then tap the mana slut for 3 mana, use 2 of that mana and flicker again, etc. for infinite mana. What to do with that infinite mana? Use the navigator to bond with Fathom Mage for infinite draw, or if you have Garruk's Packleader out, just bounce any 3+ power creature for infinite draw as well.3. Deceiver Exarch, Pestermite & Zealous Conscripts: untapping Birds of Paradise, Gyre Sage, Bloom Tender & Somberwald Sage is a good thing. This keeps your turn 6 or 7 going for 10+ minutes if you can draw more cards, which is not a problem in this deck.4. Fathom Mage & Garruk's Packleader : perfect in this deck. They give you additional draw that keeps your hand full until you're left with no more creatures to play. Which is usually the time when your opponents have no life left either.5. Fierce Empath: so many targets. If you're left with no mana to cast things but counters on Animar, Soul of Elements then you can grab any of the colorless huge creatures such as the Eldrazis or Blightsteel Colossus.6. Forgotten Ancients: if this guy lasts until the turn after you cast it, it's usually game over as you move the counters on Animar, Soul of Elements and dump your hand on the battlefield that same turn.7. Glamerdye : so versatile. The retrace option is just a nice addition, but not even necessary. Cool things to do with this are changing Animar, Soul of Elements's protection from white/black to any other color and fucking with opposing commanders such as Omnath, Locus of Mana's mana pool.8. Maelstrom Wanderer, Urabrask the Hidden & Anger: there to give haste. The rest of the effects are just gravy.9. Man-o'-War: this is one of the most important creatures in this deck. It is so versatile. You can bounce any of your things to get new ETB effects, even bouncing itself to give lots of counters on Animar, Soul of Elements. You can bounce away threats. With haste out, you can tap a mana slut and bounce it, then play it again for free mana. You'll see the interactions this has if you playtest this deck.10. Master Biomancer: helps if you play it after Fathom Mage, as it makes it easier for it to evolve.11. Mindclaw Shaman: it should be pretty self-explanatory. In EDH, you'll usually be casting something absolutely ridiculous.12. Momentous Fall: used as a last resort to get card draw. You can sac a Blightsteel Colossus for 12 new cards.13. Myojin of Life's Web: don't be afraid to cast it and remove the counter even with only 2-3 creatures in hand if you draw it early on. You can always use Clone, Phyrexian Metamorph, or Progenitor Mimic to clone it and get a new counter thanks to the new legendary rule. You can also just bounce it back with Man-o'-War and proceed to dump out your fresh hand of 20+ creatures later on in that same turn if the deck has turned on.14. Primordial Sage & Soul of the Harvest : extremely important cards. With Sages of the Anima is absolutely nuts in this deck. They will keep your turn going until you've run out of cards in your library to play.15. Roaring Primadox: very good in here. The choices are endless.16. Sages of the Anima : as explained earlier, the combo with Primordial Sage & Soul of the Harvest is just nuts. This guy is essential to win. He is the one creature that you need out in order to go crazy in one turn.17. Soul's Majesty : can be "pay 5: draw 10-20 cards".18. Unified Will: better than Counterspell.19. Vorel of the Hull Clade: double the counters on Animar, Soul of Elements.
