Thanks for your feedback, YerpyMoose. Fortunately, Gaddock Teeg takes care of all the (that I know of) red chaos spells, bant tuck/wraths, and black wraths.
I never thought about the fact that card:Martyr's Cry can't be made uncounterable under normal circumstances. It can, however, be given a mana tax via something like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and then made uncounterable, so it still needs to be considered unfortunately.

How will you deal with the new Gideon, Champion of Justice ?

I apparently cannot read (and if it got into play before gaddock?)... What would you say a "perfect" board position would be?
February 2, 2013 10:58 a.m.
I haven't compiled a complete list of cards that cannot exist on the board before going off, because the concept cannot and does not need to account for that. If a pre-existing board state is detrimental to the end result, the deck simply does not get to be 100% infallible in this particular game, or alternately, striving to activate an Oblivion Stone , card:Nevinyrral's Disk or Magus of the Disk first.
I do know that the above-mentioned Gideon, Champion of Justice as well as Karn Liberated , Humility , some anthem effects, and some other cards will be a problem, but as I said I have not taken into account all cards pre-combo and Gaddock Teeg takes care of them all post-combo.

Triggered abilities are still untouched, save for the need to be non-targeting (of your things), bounce/exile/-X effects.

Uncounterable, over-loaded Cyclonic Rift , as well. Dovescape is a no go, it slips past Gaddock Teeg , and doesn't target.

Oh, and Trickbind works as well, so Boseju isn't the only card that can defy Dovescape, At least in facilitating combos.

Mr_Sam, that is actually a fantastic idea. Being able to Angus every turn is awesome. Might even do double duty, helping me untap monoliths and ETB tapped lands to ramp harder. Thanks!
YerpyMoose, Dovescape is more of a "for the flavor of the deck" inclusion and a card you can play in the spirit of the deck if you can't "combo out." Vexing Shusher would always trump Dovescape if I was truly relying on it. For the full invulnerability, Iona, Shield of Emeria + clone naming blue and white take care of 99% of problems. That is because 99.9% of problems for the deck belong to blue. Is it a bit degenerate to blue? Yes, but blue is a bit degenerate to most other colors.

The white covers, very importantly, Kaalia of the Vast which can sneak Dromar, the Banisher into play. I wish I had a more elegant solution, as the idea is not to stop all interactivity, or other harder locks could just be used.

you aren't allowed Dromar, the Banisher in a kaalia edh deck, wrong color combos! besides that, she is a nice lady who doesn't mean you or your friends any harm!

She doesn't have to be the commander. 5-color with Dromar and Kaalia would be the end of the fun.

1/17/14 changes:
Asceticism and Privileged Position removed in favor of Enchanted Evening and Fountain Watch in order to account for Glaring Spotlight and upcoming Born of the Gods card Archetype of Endurance. Since hexproof is nerfed, we'll go with Shroud.
Platinum Emperion removed as redundant to Platinum Angel
Current game plan for problem cards:
- Iona, Shield of Emeria
and clone in place to handle multiple problem cards in blue and white.
- Meddling Mage
and Nevermore
in place to handle Myojin of Life's Web
and Hypergenesis
.
- Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and 0-2 clones in place to handle morph cards including Bane of the Living and Root Elemental plus any potential anthems already on board.
- Humility
a backup option, but interaction with Elesh Norn would create a game state where opponent could play virtually nothing.

Helix Pinnacle , Azor's Elocutors , Tree of Redemption , and Sphinx's Revelation would all be good in this deck broseph. Maybe not so much Azor's Elocutors because it makes you kind of a target. Seedborn Muse and Prophet of Kruphix woud also be helpful to be able to untap Angus and use his fog effect every turn.

Other than Strip Mine ing, I can't find a way in here to prevent The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale from harming your board. Only six creatures, but still. 100% immutable? Not so.
Setting up Crucible of Worlds + Tabernacle would be fun.

Samurai kills pendrell as it hits the yard though.

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale oracle texts says "destroy" so I think I'm covered by Avacyn, Angel of Hope , but thanks for bringing that up. I'll do a double check on lands to see if I'm vulnerable to anything similar.
January 29, 2014 9:12 p.m.
corythackston Sphinx's Revelation
is doesn't play nice because it is spell that stops Primal Surge
. As far as wincons go, I have Ulamog in there already, as well as the creatures that would already be in the board. I've thought about either Seedborn Muse
or especially Prophet of Kruphix
, but i haven't decided what card I'd take out for it, if anything. Both cards only do so much to help ramp during other players turns.

Following up on Pandrell Vale, It does appear that Magus of the Tabernacle is an issue, creating yet another reason to name white with an Iona.

The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale is "All creatures have 'At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this creature unless you pay (1).'"

Why not Kaho with Fog variants? She will be a second Angus

Uncounterable (via boseju) Final Judgement, which is the card:Martyr's Cry (even though martyr's cry can't be made uncounterable by boseju) situation, only with better art and a more extreme mana cost.
