Surrak Dragonclaw liked to punch bears. He punched bears in the morning. He punched bears in the evening. He punched bears in his dreams. One day he climbed up Mount Neverrest. Atop the mountain was a wondrous sight: a panda bear. Surrak cracked his knuckles with a grin, and punched into the chest of the majestic beast.
The panda bear, shocked, fell onto his knees. He knew he was beaten, and dying. As the blood dripped from a fist sized hole in his chest, the panda didn't seem angry. In fact he looked a bit peaceful. He smiled at Surrak, and said, "you are now the dragon warrior". The panda closed his eyes and his body phased out of existence. Surrak, confused about what just happened, and knowing that pandas can't talk, just passed it as his blood-lust playing tricks on him. He knew only on thing had to be done to remedy that: punch more fricking bears.
Just as he was about to go off into the woods to find some bears to punch, he felt a prescience. It certainly no bear looking at him, after all Surrak can sense a bear 50 miles away. "Who's out there?", Surrak asked.
"I am the spirit of the dragon warrior" a voice said. "Only you can hear me, and only you can see me".
"Are you a bear? Can I punch you?", Surrak questioned.
"I am not a bear. I am in your mind. But if you focus on my voice you can manifest me into reality", the voice explained. Surrak, both confused and interested in this voice, indeed started focusing on the voice. He felt more power. He felt the warmth of another being, but when he looked around he did not see anything. The the mountain wind blew on his face, he looked back to the forests' edge. A thunderous roar shook the trees. Animals started running away from the forest. Surrak's eye widen, as he thought it was a bear to punch. But to his dismay out came a huge Dragon from the darkness underneath the forest's undercover.
"I am Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, but I am known to you as the spirit of the dragon warrior. You have succeeded in using your new found power and even did well on the Reality Shift you preformed on me. I am now bound to you since you hold the title from slaying the last one that held it". Ugin explained. "You are now part warrior, part dragon. My strength is your strength."
"So I can punch bears better now?" Surrak asked.
"We can do so much more than just punch bears. As the dragon warrior you have the power to call dragons into battle. Jugan, the Rising Star, Ryusei, the Falling Star and Keiga, the Tide Star are amongst the oldest friends you have at your disposal. But they aren't your strongest allies that you can call through me. That honor goes to Utvara Hellkite, Terror of the Peaks, and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames."
Surrak looked around the skies and saw dragons flying over head. You also transform into a dragon yourself," Ugin said. Ugin waved his hands over Sarrak's head and Sarrak grew Dragon Fangs, Dragon Wings and had very bad Dragon Breath. Some would even say he took on the Form of the Dragon. I am guessing as warrior you can also call upon your warrior friends to help out when needed."
Sarrak looking at his wings, let out a roar similar to Ugin, the Spirit Dragon did. And warriors from all over the land answered his call. The elves sent their champion, Grand Warlord Radha with Imperious Perfect and her team of elves. A Savage Knuckleblade also leaped from the mountain top and answered the call. Even Neheb, the Eternal came to the aid of the call. Sarrak now had a mini army at his disposal.
"Sarrak, you know what you must do. You know the duty of the dragon warrior", Ugin said leaning towards Sarrak.
"Aye. I must protect the innocent, right?" he replied.
"No", Ugin laughed. "You have to punch bears and those who would dare try to take your title as the dragon warrior. Everything else is water under the Mosswort Bridge.
Sarrak laughed and his eyes filled with happiness to the point they almost teared up. Sarrak looked up at Ugin, "that's all I ever wanted".
"Now, lets go show so bears a Savage Beating, Sarrak. The two flew around the planes of existence and punched many bears. Where there was challenges, Ugin would lead Sarrak through a Guided Passage of sorts and obtain Gaea's Blessing to gather lost ones in his conquests. The two had some sort of Elemental Bond that would last a lifetime.
