I wanted to try brewing around Sphinx's Tutelage in the new world of BFZ by moving away from UR Mill and adding a little Eldrazi flavour to the deck.

Smothering Abomination helps us draw additional cards at the start of each turn triggering the tutelage. While the card forces us to sac a creature, we have Hangarback Walker for thopters or Salvage Drone which lets us loot on death. Smothering Abomination also works well with Altar's Reap triggering the draw a card effect when we sac a creature.

Fathom Feeder is a pest - he ingests, he deathtouches and he can even help us draw more cards late game.

I'm not entirely sure on Sire of Stagnation . My hope is that by the time he hits the board our opponent's deck should already be starting to look pretty thin and they'll be put in that tough spot of deciding whether to play that extra land or crack that fetch and risk being milled out.

This is still a work in progress, so I'm keen to hear any feedback or suggestions on how the deck could be improved.

Edit: I got a few comments about Dig Through Time versus Treasure Cruise so I wanted to share my thinking on these.

I really want to run at least 1 copy of Dig Through Time in the deck, maybe even 2. Say I haven't drawn my tutelage - what is the better card to have in my hand? Treasure Cruise draws me three cards, but unless I get lucky and the tutelage is one of those three cards I draw, I'm still in a bad spot with no tutelage. Dig Through Time is much better in this scenario, it lets me look at seven cards off the top of my library - compared to Treasure Cruise it's more than double as likely to find a tutelage.

Sure, Dig doesn't trigger Sphinx's Tutelage - but I don't want to be playing Dig when I have a tutelage on the board. It's there to play when I don't have a tutelage. Hope that makes sense.
