This deck is one of my favorites to play. I have always been interested in MTG's vampires. There is an incredibly large variety of abilities and win conditions through vampires which allows uniquely built decks even when using the same creature types as an opponent. The goal of my vampire deck is creature growth through control. As with the majority of my decks, speed is a priority as well. I always assume that people spent as much time on their decks as I do on mine, so I try to make sure I can get the upper hand before their plan comes into reality.

I'll start off with the instants and sorceries. Dark Ritual is the only instant in this deck and it does wonders at any point in the game. Play it early to drop an early Blood Artist and Blade of the Bloodchief or use it late game to pump that Bonfire of the Damned up that last little bit to end the game. On that note, Bonfire of the Damned is an amazing card in this deck to clear out the hordes this deck is weak against. It also pumped up the creatures that I have attached the Blade of the Bloodchiefs to. The Dreadbores are there to take care of those dangerous creatures that the opponent's deck hinges on and also to clear any Planeswalkers so I don't have to split my forces.

Each vampire included has a purpose that will work early game, with a lucky starting hand, or end game, if the game was stretched out due to a bad draw. Blood Artists are a great card to have when I have such a strong control aspect to the game. It gives me life and damages the opponent whenever any creature dies which synchronizes well with the Blade of the Bloodchief. Gatekeeper of Malakir is a great removal with a vanilla 2/2 attached. He is there to take care of those indestructibles. Guul Draz Assassin has always been a favorite for his disgusting removal once leveled up. He is a vampire I am always happy to see in my opening hand. Most of the others are very self explanatory except for the oddball Phyrexian Obliterater shoved in there. I found it is an amazing card that has great synergy with most other cards in the deck. He is also great to drop on turn two with the help of a dark ritual. Nobody wants to attack when that kind of risk is out there.

Comment, +1, or suggest away! I can't improve it without your help! Keep in mind I am building on a budget though. Feel free to recommend those expensive cards, but don't expect those changes to be made right away! Thank you!
