I was thinking about adding Tree of Perdition, but this is a zombie tribal deck Casey4321. I've been working on another The Scarab God list that focuses more on ETB effects and effects like Tree of Perdition, but it's nowhere near finished yet.

Hata98 to deal with flyers, I add Wonder and tutor to put on the graveyard or discard. Also, you can bring your creature count a bit and add more counter magic to deal with graveyard hate and combos.
ETA: You also need Entomb.
Great deck, thanks!

Killzun, thanks for the suggestions, I really noticed how bad it was to not have any flying creatures, after more commander decks focusing on flyers showed up at my playgroup, so Wonder is a very helpful addition. I was waiting to add counters to this deck, because I wanted to see how the deck played without them. That allowed me to see that it needs counters to deal with possible turn 3 combos, and so that I could better decide what to take out for the counters.

Any reason you're running Vedalken Orrery over Leyline of Anticipation? It seems like a strict upgrade; it's harder to kill and you can potentially have it out turn 1.

No problem, Hata98.
I normally don't run many counters. But I always run Negate, Disallow, Counterspell, Disdainful Stroke. Mostly for protection, unless someone wants to go too greedy, lol.
Wonder is really a life saver and a little better than Eldrazi Monument, because I don't always have a board. Some player in my group run a lot of board wipers, and I mean a lot.

+1, It's crazy how a deck almost identical to this one was on Commander Vs. By SSG, Either great minds think alike or he copied! lmao

Wold have to suggest Cabal Coffers, Entomb, and Filth.

KylerStar I used to have Cabal Coffers in the deck, but since the deck went from Dimir to Esper, it was too unreliable to get any mana out of it.
Filth would be an interesting addition to the deck, I'll have to play around with that. The problem with Filth is that it makes my targets for Buried Alive a bit harder, since it's usually Wonder,Gravecrawler, and Prized Amalgam.
Entomb is really powerful, but the deck is unable to consistently have graveyard recursion. I'll test it out, but I think I would preferably run Corpse Connoisseur since it's also a zombie.

Well as far as Filth , I feel you grab it over Wonder if you have Urborg. Though consistency may be an issue, felt it would be worth a shot to try.
And Entomb, this would just up consistency. You would be able to grab Gravecrawler, Filth, or Wonder, etc. depending on what the situation calls for.
Hope entomb at least helps.

The main reason why I run Wonder in my deck is due to the fact that there's someone who has a The Ur-Dragon deck. This way I have some way of blocking his creatures, because otherwise I would just get overrun by him without really being able to do anything against it.
I'm definitely going to test out both Filth and Entomb in the deck, the only problem I'm having is what to take out for them.

I highly recommend Crucible of Worlds in here.
It gives you some virtual card advantage with the looting effect of Varina, and with how powerful the deck is with Filth/Zombie Master being able to replay Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth after someone Wastelands you is pretty sweet. Being able to bring back other utility lands is pretty awesome too, but I don't see a lot in your land base, so maybe it's a little lackluster in here.

I feel like for going wide with tokens Noxious Ghoul, Cathars' Crusade, and Anointed Procession fit really well with your build. Also have you considered Archangel of Thune for the life gain trigger? Awesome build by the way!

Has Tree of Perdition ever been considered? It does some hilariously heinous things with the Scarab.
