The Evolution of Wolf Run Ramp

Standard*

zandl

Sideboard

I firmly believe that Wolf Run White is the dominant color of Wolf Run decks. Access to Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and Day of Judgment just give it an enormous amount of both early- and late-game stability while cramming the field with potent creatures and keeping the reset buttons on standby.

Sideboard

2x Surgical Extraction: Kills Frites dead. Also screws up Solar Flare and anything with Lingering Souls, which is about half of the Tier 1 decks in Standard.

2x Celestial Purge: Geralf's Messenger is a lot less threatening when he only hits you for 2 life once and promptly disappears afterward.

3x Naturalize: I wouldn't run Green without this in my sideboard. It's so useful in today's meta that I've strongly considered main-boarding it.

2x Thrun, the Last Troll: Duh.

1x Ray of Revelation : Sides in against B/W Tokens for the 8 anthems they run and any Angelic Destiny that may be lurking.

2x Ratchet Bomb: Sides in against Delver and Tokens.

2x Mimic Vat: Pardon my language, but Mimic Vat fucks Wolf Run's shit up, especially when I cast Day of Judgment. ANY creature Wolf Run is playing is just that much better on Mimic Vat.

2x Cavern of Souls: Broken land is broke. Drop it naming "Giant," cast Primeval Titan, fetch another naming "Praetor". Good game.
