A dude at my local store plays this kind of deck and he went like 12-0 on 4 consecutive weeks! He was not playing against tier 1 decks though but it was beastly enough!

Oh wow that's funny! Huh, nice to know that this kind of deck can do well ;).

The mana base is a bit shaky but gatecrash will fix that. Take out 1 Champion of the Parish for 1 Sublime Archangel ?

Nice deck bud! I always picked Harbor Bandit while drafting and he kicked a**! I do suggest however that you replace Detention Sphere with Oblivion Ring . Oblivion ring would be easier to cast in this tri-color deck only requiring you to pay ! W mana intead of W and U. +1 for me.

Solid! As some sideboard suggestions: Fog Bank to deal with big creatures, Cyclonic Rift which you can overload to deal with tolkens. And I was actually wondering what your thoughts are on Cathedral of War ?

I forgot about Cathedral of War ! What lands would you suggest to remove if I were to out in 1 or 2?
Thanks fro the +1's!

I really love this deck, and I love exalted. Cathedral of War wants to exist here, and I think Vampire Nighthawk can make a difference among a meta of tempo decks, and early aggro with it's lifegain. Overall though, I can't think of much else. Best standard deck I've seen in a long time. Goodluck with it man! +1

I would suggest Rootborn Defenses or Mizzium Skin instead of Syncopate for defending your creatures. +1 by me!

Updates! -2 Detention Sphere -1 Duress -1 Syncopate -2 Glacial Fortress +2 Oblivion Ring +2 Vampire Nighthawk +2 Cathedral of War .
I'm going to try out Vampire Nighthawk and see if I like him :P.
Thanks for all the comments and +1's!

I'd drop the human theme buffy... you just keep it up for Champion of the Parish while there are better cards to put in this deck (in my humble opinion).
What about this:
Champion of the Parish vs Tormented Soul
Gather the Townsfolk vs Lingering Souls
Harbor Bandit vs Geist of Saint Traft (yes, he does get Exalted) or Aven Squire for example
I really like your deck though... it inspired me to build one of my own (it's a work in progress though... I'll name it 'Unsalted' )... +1 from me :)!

she is really high in mana cost, but Necropolis Regent would make your unblockable creatures get really big really fast.

Lingering Souls > Gather the chump tokens, makes twice as many every time, and they have flying. lest you have a turn one Champion, Lingering will always be better.

I cant seem to find anything to switch it with but ive always liked using Appetite for Brains instead of duress to get rid of those pesky thrags or armadas

Ok, time to get my answers to the new comments above.
@MonkeyMind, I think my favorite part of this deck is the human twist on it :). I'll keep it for now.
@user:Weston%20Ayarza. I completely agree. Lingering Souls will most always be better then Gather the Townsfolk . I think I'll find a spot for lingering, but I'm still going to try to keep a couple gather.
@ohmygawdhxc. Appetite for Brains would be handy, but I can't see what to take out :(. It's harder to use then Duress , and a decent amount it will be a dead card in your hand. Or it may become a "look at target players hand" card.

Thoughts on -2 Gather the Townsfolk +2 Lingering Souls ?

If you want to keep that human twist, I'd keep in the Gather the Townsfolk as well...

No. If you have gather, champion gets 2 counters plus sublime's exalted. That's +4/+4 total. Lingering gets 4 tokens out so champion will also get the 4 but is temporary unlike counters. Unless you plan for board wipes, lingering souls isn't as useful. You have duress and syncopate to deal with those though

I think nighthawk should be sidedecked, maybe replace with nearheath pilgrim. Looks good. Love exalted invisible stalker. Take a gander on over at my Of Saints & Angels deck. +1

The board clear mostly used in standard is uncounterable. So count on Syncopate to fail there. also something to consider Appetite for Brains can discard the board clears. =D and isn't something to play turn 1 like duress. more like turn 3-4.

Looks solid. +1 from me
