This deck is based on the new Orzhov Guild release. The deck focuses on combining Death Touch, Life Link, Flying, and First Strike.
All creatures with CMC of 3 or less have Death Touch, all enchantments are designed to give each creature a strong enough boost in toughness early enough to establish and maintain board control.
4 creatures and 4 enchantments; here are the ideal combinations.
Typhoid Rats and Ethereal Armor, First Strike and Death Touch means I get to not worry about his toughness, he strikes first and you die so it doesn't matter. Makes this guy a beast for 2 mana that can start killing anything but another First Strike or Double Strike.
Thrill-Kill Assassin and Call To Serve, First off I never unleash this guy there is just no point to not having a low cost Death Touch creature as a blocker to stop large threats right away is awesome. Reasoning for Call To Serve is, again, to put the weakest creatures with the highest defense, makes him a 2/4 Flying Death Touch for 4 Mana.
Giant Scorpion and Gift of Orzhova, This guy is not priority for getting an enchantment right away because he is tied for the highest toughness and makes an excellent blocker. This really helps jumble up my opponent as now he has a harder time choosing to take out the 1/3 Death touch or the 2/2 First Strike Death Touch. When I do enchant him it makes him a 2/4 Flying Death Touch AND Life Link. Same as Thrill-Kill Assassin but better.
Vampire Nighthawk and Divine Favor, Of course he's in here! Perfect base even before an enchantment, best combo would be with Ethereal Armor but it's being used to turn Typhoid Rats into a cereal killer. So I gave him Divine Favor, makes him a 2/6 Flying Death Touch Life Link that lets me gain 3 life right off the bat to prime for payment for Bloodgift Demon.
