This deck plays a fair game in a fairly competitive environment. This deck has been tested against other expensive decks and is competitive in a fair environment and is especially weak against fast combo decks and decks which prevent combat damage. The deck is not recommended for very casual groups.

The deck takes advantage of the strong card advantage that Tasigur provides and plays a political game picking an opponent who benefits from you answering threats all while gaining you some sort of advantage. Winning comes down to fairing better than the other decks at wars of attrition and beating others with good old fashioned combat damage. Given these elements, the deck fairs well in the political arena rarely pulling the table's scorn.

The deck takes advantage of heavy synergy with the graveyard. Filling the graveyard with Tasigur couldn't feel better than when you flip a creature into your graveyard than when Sidisi, Brood Tyrant gives you a zombie. Delving is made all the better with Rakshasa Vizier and Torrent Elemental providing extra advantage. These interactions and others rarely fail to provide you with some tangible advantage by just playing the deck well.

As always don't forget the the Perplexing Chimera and Homeward Path synergy with your opponents' non-creature spells.
