Chronatog is pretty sweet in stasis decks. With Stasis and Frozen AEther in play you can skip all your turns (by activating Chronatog on your opponents turn over and over) and your opponent will deck himself :). If you play Chronatog you can remove your other creatures and Bladed Bracers to include some much needed counterspells. Forsaken City basically lets you discard a card to play Stasis upkeep cost. Daze are really good as well. You cast it for free and you get to return a tapped land to your hand so you can play it again untapped. The same goes for Ensnare and Thwart .

Check out my Stasis deck :)

smackjack: All great suggestions. I am probably going to build an old-school stasis deck like what you are describing. With this deck, I was shooting for a cheap build. I created a second version of this deck, The Falconer! 2.0 (Competitive) to play at tournaments, though it's still budget. Regardless, it kicks ass.

I went to a Legacy proxy tournament with it yesterday, but was only one of two people who showed up. I played against a $2,000 tier 1 proxy deck (blue mana storm), and lost 1:2. However, in game three, I had my opponent down to 2 health, just from my stupid falcon attacks and my Invisible Stalker . One more turn and I would have won. The staff at my LGS were pretty impressed that I was this close to winning against a deck that cost 40 times as much as mine. They thought I was nuts when I said I wasn't using proxy cards.

Next week they're expecting a bigger turnout. We'll see what happens.

nosoyyucateco yeah their Underground Sea are no good if you cant untap it ;) This deck is more about how you play it than how expensive cards you are using. Its very hard to operate, but if you do it right there is nothing your opponent can do about it :)

smackjack: I added Chronatog to the mono-blue version of this deck. He's been on the maybeboard here for a while, and I was trying to shy away from the usual Stasis build, but he's just too good to ignore any longer.

My biggest problem at the game yesterday was drawing Frozen AEther . During the last game (the one in which I had him down to 2 life), I drew nothing but islands the first few turns. By the time I drew it and played it, my opponent had enough untapped mana to counter it. :<

It was such a close game that I'm fairly confident that I can do pretty well next week.

Ha, I see you've thrown in an Invisible Stalker , proving that you have a trait that I believe we both share: If we can find some way to add the jerkwad, we will. He's just too delicious not to :P

slovakattack: No, he was in there before. You might have missed him. I needed an unblockable for the Hidden Strings . He's our friend.

Severe lack of Storm Crow in this deck

If you need a blocker you could try Mesa Falcon , although seeing as you can keep most things tapped with Hidden Strings that might not be a problem for you.

I've been looking for a deck like this to throw into a friend's face (he's very good). +1 from me

Can you give an example T1 -T5? Or at least an example "God-hand"? Thank you.

Love Stasis decks! +1I'd ditch the Azorius Charm in favor of Daze or Thwart. Otherwise, awesome.

Thanks, Ssserra! I have long since retired this deck, but I made a slightly more competitive mono-blue version before that: The Falconer! 2.0

haven't checked this deck in awhile. if you still play it, you will know how weak Azorius Charm and Chain Stasis is. add some Daze man. they're cheap! i would try to get 4x in there. very good synergy with Stasis so long as you still have 1 land to untap. lets you keep going for at least an additional turn.
