Cards to get and replace:

  • 1. Emergence Zone (Golgari Rot Farm)
  • 2. Finale of Devastation (Green Sun's Zenith)

My baby that I would like to tune to a higher power meta (not cEDH, mind you.)

Dakmor Salvage + Skirge Familiar + The Gitrog Monster You discard Dakmor Salvage from your hand. The Gitrog Monster will trigger, but you will replace that draw by dredging the aforementioned land back into your hand. If you mill atleast one land card this way, you draw a card. There are now two possible situations:

  • You net a and end up where you started with one black more
  • The above situation, but you end up with one card more.

from here on, repeat until you mill Gaea's Blessing or Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre. No worries if you don't end up milling them, as you can discard Ulamog to shuffle your graveyard into your library. From there on out, you can sculpt your hand to your desire, with infinite black mana. From here on out, you can cast Torment of Hailfire for the win, or use Praetor's Grasp to exile everyone's library. Ulamog can be swapped for Kozilek, Butcher of Truth (recommended doing so) and Skirge Familiar for any discard outlet

Crucible of Worlds + Glacial Chasm + Wayward Swordtooth Basically, this allows you to take no damage. At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Glacial Chasm and play it again from your graveyard. You will have to sacrifice a land, which you then can play again since you can play another land. Crucible of Worlds is interchangeable with Ramunap Excavator. Same goes for Wayward Swordtooth with any other Exploration effect. Most exploration effects mentioned beneath this can be replaced by other exploration effects.

Constant Mists + Crucible of Worlds . Glacial Chasm lock, but a bit worse. Only stops combat damage, though there's the advantage that it can be used as a political tool when one of your opponents is about to die due to combat damage. Crucible can also be substituted for Drownyard Temple, though that requires a lot more mana.

Tireless Tracker + Wilderness Reclamation The way to play in a deck (atleast for this one). dump all your mana in the clues generated, only to hold seven or more cards in your grip, all mana untapped. Considering this deck runs 9 targeted removal spells, this is a great way to deter someone from harming you.

Command the Dreadhorde + Glacial Chasm The weirdest interaction I've found thus far. Is it bad? yes. Should you probably swap Command with any other business card? yes. Is it funny when you reanimate everything out of nowhere? absolutely. Go ham and take revenge on those who dare bare their fangs at you :P

Crucible of Worlds + Fabled Passage + The Gitrog Monster is another way to play in , an interaction that made me love the Hypno toad. This allows you to draw cards each time you sacrifice the land, while ramping. This gets better the more exploration effects you have as well, but shuffling might take a while, as you get to draw a card each time before you go search your library. Fabled Passage can be substituted for Glacial Chasm or Zuran Orb here for the sacrificing outlet, though you won't 'ramp' with the former of the two.

Any cards I do not play are probably not in the deck because I cannot get ahold of them, or me owning a substitute for the said card (E.g. Using Ulamog instead of Kozilek, cause I got Ulamog out of a pack.) The deck seems to struggle with the aggro/combo decks in the format, as well as decks that happen to run flying threats, so any advice is appreciated.
