Why Krenko?

Krenko, The Gobfather, is an absolute powerhouse when it comes to creating tokens. His ability doubles the amount of goblins on your field every turn, which leads to crazy situations where you can have upwards of a few thousand goblin tokens on the table.

Basically, this deck goes NUTS with ETB effects (Impact Tremors, Quest for the Goblin Lord, etc) and sacrificial effects (namely Goblin Bombardment, Skirk Prospector, Goblin Chirurgeon, and Ashnod's Altar), along with things that untap creatures, like Umbral Mantle or Thousand-Year Elixir.

The Strategy

Krenko's Strategy is fairly straightforward. Create goblins to win! This deck has two main win condition paths that compliment different playstyles.

Zerg Rush: Probably the most straightforward of the strategies is the "hit it until it dies" strategy. With so many tokens on the field, going wide is a great finisher. Cards like Caterwauling Boggarts, Goblin Chieftain, Goblin King, Bloodmark Mentor, Fervor, and Goblin Warchief give your goblins buffs that make them nigh unstoppable. Coat of Arms, Hellrider, Goblin Wardriver, and Door of Destinies get RIDICULOUS after a few goblins hit the board. If you want to try going big and tall instead of wide, Reckless One, Horde of Boggarts, and other self beefing fattys make killing people a breeze.

Burn: The other strategy that goblins play well to is straight burn. Impact Tremors can be straight broken in this deck, and can turn into a table wipe real quickly. Goblin Bombardment and Boggart Shenanigans are also solid slow burn options. Goblin War Strike, Massive Raid, and Burn at the Stake are perfectly capable of dealing over forty damage at once, making for a swift kill.

You're gonna have to be careful of a few things, though. While it can function pretty well without him, this deck relies heavily on Krenko being out and active, so you're going to need to protect him at all costs. Board wipes can suck pretty bad for this deck, but you shouldn't be down for too long, especially if you have cards like Eldrazi Monument and Goblin Chirurgeon out.
