I've considered Sigarda, Host of Herons before and I really love that card, it actually has pretty nice flavor in this deck, but I decided on the Angelic Overseer because of her industructibility.

I might put Sigarda, Host of Herons in the Sideboard in case I start getting murdered by sacrifice decks.

Love the name, I second the Sigarda, Host of Herons suggestion and looks like this deck is a fun winner! +1 from me.

Thanks a lot!

I've decided to add Sigarda, Host of Herons into the Sideboard. I'm trying to make the Sideboard be as versatile as possible and I think having protection from forced sacrifice will really help.

Indeed! she is one of my favorite angels and cards. I'm still new to Modern, but I know she can be a big help against black, red and Eldrazi.

She is pretty awesome! The Hexproof really puts her ahead of the curve.

I recently ran into a Standard deck that ran Archfiend of Depravity, I was the clear winner until they dropped him, responded in my turn with an Oblivion Ring but it was just Naturalized and I lost my Human Token army =\

With Sigarda, Host of Herons that won't happen again, I can also see the advantage of using her against Annihilator even though I've never played against any Eldrazi.

Yeah, I didn't play during the time of Eldrazi, but I know them oh too well in EDH. Pain in the butts to deal with some of them.

I would imagine the Eldrazi would be great EDH players due to their high casting cost.

I would like to make a Modern Eldrazi deck but I'm not sure how to get around their absurd casting costs.

Not sue if you know, or there was an earlier comment, but the token produced my Elspeth, Knight-Errant would not boost Champion of the Parish as it is a soldier token, not a human soldier. I would however still consider her as she is one of the best walkers in modern and one of the hardest to remove.

April 21, 2015 7:19 a.m.

Yeah, I know. They're just Soldier Tokens, not Human Soldiers.

I"m interested in her for the +3/+3 and flying along with her -8 Indestructibility... but I'm not really sure if it's really worth a spot in the deck.

I am very confused by your choice of Aegis of the Gods for sideboard, while it is a good card, what does it do against mono-blue control? It seems great versus mill and burn.

By your description of your possible inclusion of Elspeth, Knight-Errant I was just a little confused when you said her +1 works well with the Champion. No Biggie, just wasn't sure which way you were going with it. I would however test her out in place of Coat of Arms. I'm not too big of a fan of it. It comes out late, and hopefully you should already be winning and not really need the Coat where as Elspeth is just good all around.

It's in there as a cheaper Leyline of Sanctity that also triggers Human effects, TreeCat

I've been considering removing Coat of Arms for a while. When I first put it in I liked it, but I feel the more I play the more useless it is.

I'll have to aquire Elspeth, Knight-Errant, I don't own her.

I think I'll cut the other Coat of Arms for another Increasing Devotion. For some reason I'm not getting as much token spawn as I used too... I really can't figure out why.

Sad face?

Ah, taking Coat of Arms out :P

Sorry InDirectX, it worked out pretty well at first but for some time now Coat of Arms really hasn't been preforming. I think another Increasing Devotion will do better in the 5 CMC spot.

HOWEVER while using Coat of Arms I've been inspired to make a Goblin Token deck with Krenko, Mob Boss. I can see it now, swing 157 Goblins with Coat of Arms.... ah the sweet, sweet 24492 points of damage.

An actual description: I was too lazy to put it on the original, but when I'm suggesting cards I do it gladly EDH Goblins Tribal! {Suggestions?}

Instead of Coat of Arms you could try Obelisk of Urd.

Not really sure if it's much better, but it should be able to come down earlier or at least not force you to tap out to cast it.

April 21, 2015 10:21 p.m.

CCP_MTG, is that suggestion for me or InDirectX?

If it's for me I already have two Obelisk of Urds loaded in my Sideboard.

Oh. Sorry. I hadn't seen that. I was mostly reading the comments and thought of the card. Disregard my previous comment.

I think I'd like Gavony Township as your featured card. It just makes so much sense :3 But It's your deck so do what you want xD that's just my opinion.

April 29, 2015 8:58 p.m.

That's a great idea, I never though about Gavony Township for some reason. It fits really well, thanks Nef!
