I'm a big fan of humans!

I worked really hard to make a deck that works but also retains my Church of Avacyn theme, I think it's in a pretty good place right now.

I'm actually going to mt Local Card Shop this Friday to attend a Modern Night and test this deck out against some other decks I'm not familiar with!

One problem I see is aggro. I did a bit of playtesting against my ally deck and I get way too many big creatures out quickly. Maybe run Wrath of God in the sideboard. Avacyn will protect your creatures if it gets that far.

Ghostly Prison could do something. I'm just throwing out ideas :D

I have a friend who also runs an ally deck, Zendikar's Alliance, and I do think that this deck if very susceptible to aggro builds.

If I playing against aggro I try and control their creatures with my Path to Exiles and Oblivion Ring but sometimes it's not enough.

I do like Wrath of God, it's a nice card to play when you need to reset the game, it's even a bit thematic!

I've never actually seen Ghostly Prison before! It's really solid, really screw with fast aggro decks!

I'll try and find a place for them in the Side, maybe in place of Mana Tithe? I do like the White counterspells (no one excepts them) but having an answer to aggro decks might be more important.

Yah those are just a few of the options. I'd say wait to make any big changes until after the first fnm. Tell me how it goes afterwards! Keep me up to date with the deck too. Talk to me about changes because I'm interested in them xD

Mana Tithe is interesting but it really isn't that good. It's a dud late game.

If infect is popular in your area, you may want to consider Melira, Sylvok Outcast. You could try running a Time of Need because it would search melira, mikaeus, or avacyn but there probably isn't a good reason to do that.

I will keep that in mind, I'm not sure what's popular down at my card shop, but once I find out I'll be sure to specialize the sideboard for it.

Speaking of humans, it was REALLY hard to get a good human based ramp in this deck, ALL the good ramp in Magic is with elves.

Heh yah elves are the best little buggers at making mana.

I recently played Concerning Kithkins against a ramp deck, bunch of Elvish Mystics and Llanowar Elves, a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Voyaging Satyrs.

Suffice to say I was facing a 100/100 Primordial Hydra with nothing to defend me bust a lowly Cenn's Heir!

That probably didn't go that well xD
Ethersworn Canonist may have helped against that if you were playing with this deck and it also completely destroys storm.. and.. ya know.. is a human.

I'm not sold on that SB Obelisk of Urd. What do you bring it in on?

Oh yeah! The Obelisk of Urd, that's actually a remnant of an older version of the deck. I had them in the Mainboard then took them out and just Sideboarded them, I guess I just kind of forgot about them. I should probably replace them.

The one good thing that came from it was actually playing Commander for the first time. I played with a friend's sliver deck.

Commander is interesting. I have fun with it sometimes. I just prefer good ole modern xD

The slivers did NOT play well, it was fun though. We all just kind of socialized and I made friends with my only sliver, who I named Kyle, then Striped-Shirt-Guy killed it and I vowed to avenge Kyle, then I went out in a hail of spellfire taking Striped-Shirt-Guy with me.

I decided to start work on Awkward Family Reunion in order to have something to play with. Commander is apparently very popular down there.

I've not really formed an opinion of it yet though.
