Yeah, I've run into that issue A LOT. It's time for him to go.
What's weird about the Mentor of the Meek is that he seems like a good fit for a weenie deck... but the CMC is usually too high for a weenie deck...

I like that idea, oh and you could do a sub-theme of Demons since that's the opposite of Angels.

Yummy Human eater. I love the flavor of that card.

Thanks for the suggestion!
While I think the idea of making myself Indestructible it's not really what this deck is attempting to do.
I do have two Sigarda, Host of Herons in the Sideboard for defense against sacrifice decks.

She'd work against Eldrazi but also certain Vampire and Pherexian deck.

I used to have Elite Inquisitor in my Mainboard but ended up removing it since it was a little to niche.
As for Melira, Sylvok Outcast, I'm trying to find a place for her in my Sideboard as we speak.
I won't deny that Fleecemane Lion is pretty awesome, but I feel like I already have too many non-human creatures. Five Angels, Four Walls, I feel like anymore non-humans will hurt the power of cards like Champion of the Parish, Mayor of Avabruck Flip, and Hamlet Captain.

Thanks Nef! I'm just about to do an update about it when I get home!

Thanks ThomasO!
I'm actually considering a deck built around Self Indestructibility. Maybe using Elvish Piper and Quicksilver Amulet to get Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Platinum Angel out early.

Oooo Harabaz Druid was a pretty awesome idea!
It basically does the same thing the walls did but it's any color and they are still humans.

Thanks! I was walking down the school hall today and it hit me like a ton of bricks, then I felt like an idiot :P
Harabaz Druid is better than Overgrown Battlement is nearly every way. It's a human, it can tap for any color, the only downside is that it's a 0/1 opposed to a 0/4... but I really don't see it as much of a downside.

Oh, Nef, I want to hear your opinion on this:
I cut Hamlet Captain in favor for two Angel of Jubilations, and a Soul Warden. Think it was a good idea? I'm not sure yet.
I cut the Captain because his buff was conditional and, despite being more expensive, the Angel's is static. Also I wanted a full set of Soul Wardens.
Rocknj06, yeah the Druid doesn't have defender, but I probably won't be attacking with it much anyway.
FAMOUSWATERMELON, freaking hate Lightning Bolt, a reason good 'ole Thalia, Guardian of Thraben is in the Sideboard.

If they LB a mana dork I think you're in good shape. It means Angel of Jubilation is even safer.

This is true. I like it when the opponent Wastes their removal :D

You may be able to tech in a Seraph Sanctuary for a little lifegain. It may harm your mana base a little though so I don't know if it's worth it.

I actually considered that. I'll try it out with my friends! I actually just found out I own a playset (out of the collection I was given to), it might be pretty nice, nice flavor too.
I'll try in two for now. If it harm the mana too much I'll just take them out. No biggie.
May 13, 2015 7:18 p.m. Edited.
It can be surprising when you miracle an Entreat the Angels with sanctuary on the field xD It's nothing too impactful but it may help.

It's actually a nice combo, assuming I cast Entreat the Angels for a decent amount I could be getting 5, 6, or even 7 life. That can be the difference between winning and losing... also combine that with a Soul Warden and I'd be looking at 10 or 12 life!

Also, that's just fantastic flavor, and I love my flavor!
May 13, 2015 7:31 p.m.
Yah that was another reason I suggested it xD
Gotta love that flavor.

Cut half of your Soul Wardens for Soul's Attendants, in case of Maelstrom Pulse and the like. And always make sure not to miss your triggers with those on opponent's creatures, I know I often do.

I just had an idea for my "evil" version of this deck.
I'm gonna attempt a pseudo human tribal deck that has black in it.
