Sadly the only card like Wilt-Leaf Liege is an elephant or a baloth. However I did find a few new cards that could fit well, Gavony Township. For sideboard Brave the Elements for red based board clears and removal, and Restoration Angel can protect a key creature.

I already have four Gavony Townships, they're pretty awesome.
I might swap out my Elite Inquisitor for Brave the Elements. While I love the flavor of Elite Inquisitor, his protection is a little too niche.
Not too sure about Restoration Angel, Lightning Greaves can protect my creatures very well by equipping and reequipping on important creatures.

Keep in mind that Restoration Angel can be an instant, thus blanking a removal spell, causing it to be wasted, while Lightning Greaves can only equip on your turn, but ultimately it is your call

I see, I'll consider it. Would be great wasting removal spells.
I'll run some tests in Cockatrice but I now see the avantage of Restoration Angel.

Brave the Elements doesn't stop board wipe. just saying.

I don't really know of any anti-board wipes.
Avacyn, Angel of Hope will protect me, but she's usually late game and pricey (although I suppose board wipes are too).
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben might be able to delay a board wipe by increasing it's cost.
Are there instant spells that grant my creatures Indestructibility?

kamarupa I was referring to things like Pyroclasm and other damage based boardclears, as it stops your creatures from taking damage from red sources.

Okay, I see what you two are talking about. I was confused.
I can also use Brave the Elements to get past blockers during my turn or protect my creatures if an opponent attacks me their turn.

Break of Day gives your creatures Indestructibility at Instant speed, but only if you have 5 or less life.

Eh, too niche in my opinion. I think I'll just keep Brave the Elements for now.

I'm looking for sideboard additions.
Ajani's Presence isn't bad, I might consider it but I'd have to pour a bunch of mana into just to save a few creatures.
April 1, 2015 3:56 p.m.
Some cards to consider for sideboard (Based on your local Meta):
Stony Silence- Great for Affinity/Robots
Rest in Peace- Dredge
Linvala, Keeper of Silence- Twin/Kiki
Leyline of Sanctity- Burn
Fracturing Gust- Bogles and Affinty/Robots
Keep in mind that these cards are not good in every single matchup, so you need to base your sideboard against your lgs' meta!

The guys I play with the most have decks that involve milling and countering, vampire pumping, midrange ramp, life gain, and allies.
The most annoying, Vampire Empire, involves a lot of removal and pumping, that why I had Riders of Gavony and so many Elite Inquisitors in there!

I think besides the current name, a good name for this deck could've been "Innistrad, the deck" because thats basically what it is
April 2, 2015 12:10 p.m.
Only 18 cards in the deck are Innistrad.
But it is a human deck, after all...
April 2, 2015 12:12 p.m.
Definitely prefer Door of Destinies, also you should be running Coat of Arms.

Maybe not Coat of Arms in the mainboard, but I could see it being a sideboard possibility
April 2, 2015 12:15 p.m.
Crusade fits the theme as well, Adaptive Automaton fits the deck but not the lore theme.
Odric, Master Tactician could be useful, up to you.
Coat of Arms gives you +1/+1 for EACH creature that fits a type, I fail to see why it wouldn't be in the mainboard except against other type-devotion decks.

Thanks for the suggestions TreeCat!
I didn't think about the advantages of deck thinning, that's a good point... also I could bring out Temple Garden since it is a Forest and Plains! Awesome, I'll add those to my Wish List!
While I love all of the effects of Wilt-Leaf Liege I'm trying to keep this deck strictly Humans with supporting Angels. A lot of my cards require synergy with other Human cards. So if there a card similar to Wilt-Leaf Liege but a Human instead of an Elf? If there is I might consider it!
