Angelic Overseer, Champion of the Parish (if left unchecked), Entreat the Angels, or an onslaught of humans (or even werewolves)
These are all win conditions. My piont is I think avacyn and Gideon are unneeded and those slots would be better served with another champion or land. Again just my opinion. it's your deck, you know it better than anyone

I'm always open to recommendation, I'll see how it plays out without Gideon Jura. He's good and all but looking at it now I'm not sure I need a Sleep considering the amount of humans I should get out.
Honestly, I might have only put him in because he's a shiny Planeswalker.

I don't think I made the Win Cons clear, I mean
Doubling Season and Increasing Devotion, maybe even Champion of the Parish. Couple this with Coat of Arms too.
Avacyn, Angel of Hope, swinging 8 and everything is Indestructible.
Angelic Overseer, actually forgot about her. Swinging 5 with an invincible flier.

I would -1 Entreat the Angels +1 Champion of the Parish and -1 Gideon Jura +1 Doubling Season. But that's just me

yea, Sundering Growth is what I meant to say, lol. So ya, that.
If you want to keep messing with your mana ramp, you might consider Noble Hierarch or Sylvan Caryatid, though the later is only a plant.
You might experiment with cutting a few lands and running Gift of Estates or Weathered Wayfarer. I like thinning decks. Nothing worse than drawing land when you need a finisher or removal.

Would cutting basic lands altogether be a good idea; then run with four Gift of Estates?
April 14, 2015 3:08 p.m.
I don't think that's a good idea because Path to Exile is such a staple - you're bound to face it often enough - without any basic lands, you won't be able to play a land tapped if a creature of yours is Pathed. Also, while non-basic lands offer a lot, they also have a lot of conditions, like life loss, or coming into play tapped, which can really torture your spells. Also, Gift of Estates only lets your search for plains (vs Weathered Wayfarer which lets you search for any land) and Gift of Estates costs 2 to play, which will be a real stress on your mana base T2.

I think I'll consider some Weathered Wayfarers. I know this sounds absolutely ridiculous but the white border from is really annoying me.
I keep hearing about this card called Knight of the Reliquary. Can you explain how it works and if it would be a good addition.
April 14, 2015 5:11 p.m.
PierreThePlaneswalker Knight of the Reliquary works by providing multiple types of value. It can get any land from your deck, even utility lands like Gavony Township. Notice that it does not require you to sacrifice an untapped land, as such it ramps you for one, by tapping the land for mana first. Much like fetchlands it can provide you with great deckthinning, which will help with your draws. Finally it can hit like a truck.
April 14, 2015 5:17 p.m.
Knight of the Reliquary is tooled for landfall decks using Rampaging Baloths or the like, usually Crucible of Worlds is run with it. Unless you have landfall, the knight isn't that good.
April 14, 2015 5:18 p.m.
Sorry, I forgot to mention it can do deckthinning. Usually I don't see it in non-landfall decks, however.
April 14, 2015 5:19 p.m.
Knight of the White Orchid can be a great deck thinner/manamaker as it can also get some damage in, if you do play it make sure to play your lands post combat.
April 14, 2015 5:22 p.m.
Knight of the Reliquary is great for non-landfall decks, it can be used just as a win-con or a great utility creature, some Zoo variants run it, as well as g/w knights.

Mmm, maybe Knight of the White Orchid, I'm not too sure Knight of the Reliquary will be helpful though.
Correct me if I'm wrong, does Chromatic Lantern double my mana output given by all my lands?
April 14, 2015 6:02 p.m.
No. Chromatic Lantern just lets you tap any 1 land for and 1 color of mana. Think of it like it's adding a second tap option to the land, like Gavony Township
April 14, 2015 6:19 p.m.
Also, like Gift of Estates, Knight of the White Orchid only lets you search for a Plains.
RE Weathered Wayfarer's white border - I could photoshop the white border off if you can code it into a deck on Cockatrice. (And yes, I think that not running it because of the border is as silly as thinking about running a set of Gift of Estates in a deck with only 6 valid Plains, along with 4 additional Fetches for them. - That's 16 land tutors for only 6 targets!)

Getting the mana base down is harder than I would have expected.
I'm not saying I'm not going to run Weathered Wayfarer, it just bothers me. I mainly play in real life anyway.
April 14, 2015 6:34 p.m.

I'm honestly not familiar with how to optimize the mana base.
Right now I've cut a Gavony Township, Temple Garden, and Sunpetal Grove for three Weathered Wayfarers.
I'm not entirely sure if that was smart...
April 14, 2015 6:38 p.m.
Im not quite sure about the land cuts, 17 lands is still really low, even decks that only need 2 lands in play run 19-21.
April 14, 2015 6:54 p.m.
PierreThePlaneswalker says... #24
Yeah... I don't know. Maybe I'm just over-thinking all this mana base stuff.
April 14, 2015 6:59 p.m.
Perhaps a Sigarda, Host of Herons somewhere. I think it's a good card and should be played since you have the mana concentrations. I also think that it's still on theme with the deck, maybe not as much as Angelic Overseer which is what I would suggest you take out for one or two Sigardas, but it's still not that far off flavor.

(Other win conditions probably being Doubling Season and Entreat the Angels... sometimes Coat of Arms and Gideon Jura too.)
