A friend of mine suggested that I make an elf deck and here's my shot at it.

The concept of this deck is to attack and ramp in the early turns while pumping your elves as you cast more creatures ultimately ending with a big swing using Craterhoof Behemoth and/or Ezuri, Renegade Leader.

ELF CORE:

ELF LORDS:

  • Elvish Archdruid - Another mana engine. Probably the best elf lord there is. Creates large amounts of mana on a single tap.

  • Elvish Champion - A one-of in this deck. Buffs our elves and give them forestwalk. Also provides 2G for devotion.

UTILITY:

  • Scryb Ranger - Awesome utility. You can bounce a forest to untap a creature. Great synergy with Elvish Archdruid plus it has flash. You can flash it in an instant to untap Archdruid when your opponent thinks you're tapped out or squeeze an extra mana from a forest you just bounced and play again.

  • Elvish Visionary - Another elf deck staple. Provides card advantage. That extra draw really helps.

  • Essence Warden - For life gaining. Very annoying if left unanswered. Usually absorbs removal spells.

  • Reclamation Sage - Enchantment/Artifact hate.

  • Chord of Calling - One of the finishers. Use to fetch our wincons or other utility creatures. I'm not playing a play set of it as I don't want to be stuck with chords on my early draws.

  • Collected Company - Fuels the engine and fills the board at instant speed.

LANDS:

WINCONS:

  • Mirror Entity + Ezuri, Renegade Leader + Scryb Ranger
Turn all your creatures into elves using Mirror Entity's ability then use Ezuri's Overrun ability turning Scryb Ranger into a buffed up flying elf with trample.

  • Scryb Ranger + Elvish Archdruid
Tap Elvish Archdruid for mana leave it floating. Use Scryb Ranger's ability, bounce a forest, untap Archdruid, tap it again for mana and play the forest you just bounced if you haven't played a land for an extra mana. Use it to cast Chord, Craterhoof or just pump our other wincons.

Updates Add

Removed the Door of Destinies for Collected Company. Removed Joraga Warcaller for the 3rd Scryb Ranger. Added Fracturing Gust on the sideboard.

After months of testing, so the the build's doing fine. Flexible yet consistent. Still looking for ways to make it faster that's why I'm testing with Collected Company and thinking of adding another Ezuri, Renegade Leaderfoil and talking out a Craterhoof Behemoth.

What do you guys think?
