So if you haven't considered a 2-of Abbot of Keral Keep, I would highly suggest it. I've blown opponents out with the random card advantage it gives me, and prowess is really, really good for this deck.

OK that card seems pretty cool NoSkillManiac what would I cut in order to use this guy?

I would probably cut the Anathemancer and a Phyrexian Arena. The other option is to rip the Blightnings out of your deck, because those, while really good, can backfire on you really hard if your opponent is playing green (green/white is significantly worse), because they have access to cards like Obstinate Baloth, Loxodon Smiter and Wilt-Leaf Liege

(apologies for bad typing- on 3.5 hours of sleep and it's 2:30am)

I'll link my Jund list to you in a moment, I just have to un-private it first. Feel free to ask questions about why I chose things.

Here you go, Jund buddy. This is my list that just got me a path promo tonight. It is far from perfectly tuned, and I'm always looking for silly tech to make it better. Jund? Jund.

Yeah alot of the options in the deck are subpar like Phyrexian Arena but I don't have dark confidant so arena it is for now Lol. The ones you mentioned will all be replaced before too long.

I feel like arena is still better than Bobs. You don't die as fast, and your opponent doesn't know what you have drawn

phaze08 says... #7

Yeah but Bob doesn't hurt you from land flips and you can kill him easily if you start to get low on life Lol. O.o

NoSkillManiac says... #8

True that. I'm just not a huge fan of Bob, to be fair.

The deck looks really sweet especially for a budget deck. I agree with NoSkillManiac on Abbot of Keral Keep. Its a threat that basically draws you a card. Lets you hit a land drop, cast a second spell, etc etc. But, the only problem I see is that he truly isn't amazing when you have huge cards in your deck like Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip and the walkers. Flipping any of those off an Abot is usually bad, but if you actually have 6 mana up then it's great.

Blightning is another thing to consider. Bolting your opponent in the face and making them lose cards is always good. It's especially good in a budget deck.

As far as things to cut go, Avaricious Dragon and Phyrexian Arena are both great cards, but they do not synergize that well with each other. Phyrexian Arena is played in a deck where you want your hand full at all times, and Avaricious Dragon is played in a deck where you want to dump your hand out each turn. I would play 2 copies of the card you would rather have in your deck, and no copies of the other (3 is just overload).

Anathemancer seems like cool tech against all those decks with a bunch of nonbasics, but it doesn't seem powerful against the match-ups where you would want it. Burn is just all basics, Affinity has less than 2 lands out most of the time, Twin fetches for basics most of the time, etc etc. Also, in a Jund deck, you try to out-value your opponent. So basically when youre winning, youre winning. So usually that 4-5 damage the Anathemancer would deal, doesn't usually change the game a lot (whether youre winning or losing).

Sweet deck though, hope this advice helps! +1

TheGamer I used to run Blightning but I just cut it yesterday for the 4 dryads. I might try to find room to add it back.

Avaricious Dragon is a similar effect to Dark Confidant but obviously later game and doesn't die as easy.... It's being tested, not sure about it yet.

Phyrexian Arena is basically my budget Dark Confidant that's why I run 3 because jund generally runs 4 confidants to always get that card advantage once it initiates a top deck war.

Also, I really like Abbot, I just keep wondering if it's worth it to invest and then end up having a bad time but being able to play the exiled cards. I really really like the card but I'm not he fits in jund and that's why I haven't bought any yet Lol. I'm heavily considering it.

Cool list! Kinda not what I was expecting tho in a budget jund! I use courser of kruphixes to generate card advantage instead of the arenas. really curious, how would the arenas do in place of bob? really considering playing the arenas tho. OH and pls do check my list out and tell me what you think, fellow budgety jund player! THE SIGNIFICANTLY LESS EXPENSIVE Jund Midrange

Well I've never had bob but basically there are pros and cons to each:

Phyrexian Arena Pros-Doesn't die to creature removal, hurts less than bob, Cons- Harder to turn off if you get low on life, pings on land drops, can't swing

Dark Confidant Pros- Can swing for damage, easy to kill yourself if you get low on life, doesn't ping for land drops, Cons- dies easily when you dont want him to, can hurt alot on flipping 4+ drops, reveals cards to opponent.

That's basically it, it's personal choice I guess...I personally like Bob better but I can't afford just yet.

I like courser but I always thought revealing all your cards wasn't too cool. :/ I'll check out your list though dilzzz

While this deck is a budget deck, I would try to slowly replace the Quirion Dryads with Tarmogoyfs, as tarmogoyf is just so much better. I would also replace the copperline gorge, dragonskull summit, and especially the jungle hollow with more shocks, fetches and basics. The avaricious dragon is best out, replaced perhaps by more Abrupt Decay and maybe a Dark Confidant. Duress and blightning can also be replace by 2 Thoughtseize and 2 Abrupt Decay. In the sideboard, I reccomend taking out all 4 Autumn veils and both unravel the AEther, and replacing with 2 Shatterstorm, 2 Kitchen Finks and two Spellskite. Also, I would replace the thragtusk with Thrun, the Last Troll. Finally, in the sideboard, I would focus on beating aggresive decks like affinity, burn, zoo, and amulet bloom, who will take advantage of the life you pay for shocks and fetches.

P.S. You will be hit hard by Blood Moon. Consider ways of getting rid of it in the sideboard.

Captgouda24 Thanks for you feedback.

Yes, the dryad is a temp solution for goyf until I get one, believe me that is the plan for the future lol. I'm basically working up to the big 3: Tarmogoyf, Liliana of the Veil, and Dark Confidant.

Avaricious Dragon is something I'm testing to emulate a later-game dark confidant effect but he will replaced as soon as better things are in my posession.

The manabase will be the next thing to be cleaned up believe me, 4 Blackcleave Cliffs is first on the list.

As it says in the description, Duress is only a placeholder for Thoughtseize until I can grab those.

The 4 Autumn's Veil are going to be replaced by Thrun, the Last Troll, Olivia Voldaren, and 2 Ancient Grudge very soon, I also have one Creeping Corrosion to put in for affinity hate.

I agree with what you said about blood moon, but no one that I know plays the card so It's not so bad. Nonetheless, I am going to get fetches to get my basics so I can Abrupt Decay the moon. On top of that, Unravel the Aether is great to deal with blood moon as well as other enchantments. I think it's as good as Destructive Revelry, except it also deals with Theros gods. (There is alot of Keranos, God of Storms in my meta.

Again, thanks for you comment and +1 me please! :D

The spoiler you tried to implement wasn't the same as this one, as the button was different. Try to implement this exact code (by copying and pasting) to see if it works. If it does, you can change around the text to whatever you like.
