So i did some looking around the only 2 i found somewhat useful or alike were;

in other words if Bloodhall Ooze doesn'twork out i think it's best to stay with Skinshifter i guess.

Yeah I found a few like that, such as Quirion Dryad, Managorger Hydra, etc and I found that these die way to easily (in my meta at least, everyone plays Lightning Bolt) so I feel like Skinshifter is best.

Hopefully we'll get a cool low costed creature with delerium that gets like +2/+2 in shadows over Innistrad.

Having the same card in multiple categories, while it makes sense, makes looking at the decklist very difficult. Could you remove your custom categories, or choose one place to put each card?

Nixin72 thought it made it easier to see the cards referenced in the primer area, but I could see how it could be more confusing also. Better?

So much easier now, thanks :) the issue is just that when I look at the deck and see 18 creatures, I then need to sort through which of them are lands, then removal and all the other custom categories and it makes it difficult to find stats and stuff, you know? I have nothing against custom categories, as long as certain canards aren't repeated through multiple categories.

Nixin72 Yeah, I can totally see your point, but Raging Ravine IS a creature and a land, lol. Maybe I'll reformat the custom categories one day to make it easier to read.

Well that's where you start to need to pick and choose. Raging ravine can be a creature, where as kalitas is a creature. Generally when I build custom categories, if I have a card that serves a utility purpose, but it can also be used for something else, you've just gotta ask what you use it for most often. I play burn, so Grim Lavamancer is a great example. I can clump him with Goblin Guide, Eidolon of the Great Revel and Monastery Swiftspear as a creature, but most of the time, his purpose will be to use him as removal, he's a utility creature, not a beater. Or Boros Charm- I can say it's a utility spell, but in reality, it's almost always just 4 damage to the face.

Nixin72 Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I'll reformat this later today prolli. Thanks for the input and don't forget to +1 if you liked!

You have Dark Tutelage and Phyrexian Arena as budget replacements for bob for the time being. What are your thoughts on Necrogen Mists to replace the lili?

March 3, 2016 10:22 a.m.

Nixin72 I do like the card, I just wonder if it'll become too much of a hassle. I already noticed this happening with Phyrexian Arena, sometimes I'll pull some of the other 'bob's' but I don't play them because the arena usually doesn't die.

It's for this reason that I decided to use Blightning. I've thought of the mists before, I'm just not sure. Thoughts?

I was playing Blightning for a little while myself in grixis delver to replace Kolaghan's Command and it was just super underwhelming. Once you're in top deck mode, where lili shines, the discards 2 is pretty irrelevant seeing as how they won't likely even have 2 cards in hand...

Nixin72 I could see that, but would the Necrogen Mists really be any better? What about sacrifice effects instead?

I just did a search for enchantments that force your opponent to sac a creature and there wasn't any :/

phaze08 says... #14

Yeah, that would crazy, but I was meaning like Tribute to Hunger, Geth's Verdict, Devour Flesh, etc.

instead of Skinshifter, Quirion Dryad gets pretty big fast. it is a really good sub.

March 3, 2016 1:46 p.m.

phaze08 says... #16

bah-bammmm what's funny is I cut Quirion Dryad to add the Skinshifter. I liked how the dryad was more fire and forget, but she just died super easy and rarely put in any muscle or got big enough to do much. At least this way it's guaranteed to be a 4/4 by t3.

Bloodhall Ooze is also super good

Nixin72 says... #18

Geth's Verdict is good- probably the best one there.

March 3, 2016 10:26 p.m.

phaze08 says... #19

Nixin72 I agree, I need to test it. I think the (b)(b) cost is similar enough to Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Liliana that it shouldn't be a problem.

Your mana base can support double black pretty easily I think, it shouldn't be an issue. Though having some Blackcleave Cliffs would probably be nice if it weren't so expensive...

March 3, 2016 10:58 p.m.

phaze08 says... #21

Nixin72 Honestly the Blackcleave Cliffs are prolli my next bigger purchase. 1-2 at a time... Lol.

In the same vein as Geth's Verdict, I would like Mogis, God of Slaughter if he didn't complete with other 4 drops.

March 3, 2016 11:10 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #22

Yea, mogis competes too much with the other 4 drops I think, plus his devotion will never get reached in this deck. I don't think mogis is what you're looking for in here.

March 4, 2016 2:08 p.m.

phaze08 says... #23

Nixin72 I agree, I want to like him, but there's better 4 drops.

I'm gonna test the Geth's Verdict and I'm trying to decide what the good balance is with Blightning or maybe I should remove it altogether.

March 4, 2016 6:48 p.m.

Nixin72 says... #24

I don't know, I feel like Geth's Verdict is better in top deck mode, but Blightning is better to get your opponent into top deck mode. So maybe do a 2/1 split? 1 Geth's Verdict? I feel like it's worse early game in more matchups

March 4, 2016 10:46 p.m.

phaze08 says... #25

Nixin72 That's kinda what I was thinking I guess I'll test and see.
