Thanks! I'm working on ways to make the demons a little more toolbox-ish -- as there isn't really removal apart from Grave Pact and Living Death -- a way to use the zombies produced by the ultra-mega secret cleric tech would be fun.
I was thinking maybe a Shadowborn Demon could do well.
IDK, the point is really just to be hilarious.

I like it. Hilarious you say? Abyssal Persecutor ?
I love that card, not so sure how you'd rid yourself of it in EDH, but I'm sure there's ways.
It really does look good though!

Often! But, I typically try to just build up mana and keep a bunch of apostles in hand until I can blow them all out in one turn -- this way I don't get the early pithing needle or maelstrom pulse before I am ready to recurse.
As long as I have some way to draw more than one card per turn, getting them out is pretty expected. I even managed to get the Tendrils of Agony win to work, and it was pretty funny.

You might also dig Blood Speaker or Kagemaro, First to Suffer . I really like the Thrumming Stone idea, not enough decks can unlock that thing's power

Thanks man, I hadn't considered Blood Speaker , but Kagemaro has definitely been in and out -- I've found that Living Death more than makes up for her. It's true that I do need a board wipe and that I do need something that takes advantage of the massive card draw -- but people are far too likely to see exactly what is about to happen if I have both her and Harvester of Souls in play, so she has been out for now. If I can make the group slug theme a little more prominent or consistent, then she would be in for sure.
Thrumming stone is the funniest card ever, except when someone has Rhystic Study :(

i've been working on a deck utilizing shadowborn apostles as well. been trying different generals and color identities, etc. one fun card that makes this deck pretty funny, is Conspiracy . it makes me giggle- i imagine these cultists trying to summon demons, but since they can summon any creature they pull all sorts of random creatures in to their realm... makes for a fun bit of utility too, making each apostle sac like a chord of calling, no longer having to include a stockroom full of demons. sure, it makes the deck more fragile, but makes it interesting.

Yeah definitely is in my multi-colored version of the deck -- naming "Human Cleric" makes infinite zombie tokens, which is pretty hilarious -- also works well with things like Patriarch's Bidding , or Cabal Archon .
The reason I don't include it in this deck is that I almost never want to tutor for it, and almost never want to draw it. It's a high cost card and Everybody knows that it's happening by that point in the game, so they are definitely going to remove it. The thing about the current enchantments is that while they are important, they aren't vital. I would probably end up having to put more cards in to make use of Conspiracy being in the deck, but when it's destroyed, those cards are all much harder to use. Example: Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
But, with white in the deck, I can easily resurrect or protect it -- so it's an easy include.

This deck is ridiculous and I love it. I would suggest maybe adding more demons for more Shadowborn shenanigans. Otherwise, good deck. +1 from me.

NICE! I like it, and am going to find a spot for it. Fits the YOLO theme of the deck well.

How will you stop a Surgical Extraction on your Shadowborn Apostle ?

Lol, How will I stop Detention Sphere , Meddling Mage and Pithing Needle for that matter?
I won't! YOLO.

Since Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker is taking care of a legendary land, you should probably be running it Shizo, Death's Storehouse

In addition, what do the apostles search up? Besides Rune-Scarred Demon you could use a few more tutor targets since it's a large part of your deck. I would recommend Seizan, Perverter of Truth Reaper from the Abyss Demon of Death's Gate something like that

Nope, this is a good amount of demons.
Keep in mind that I can "fail to find" the demon within the deck should I actually manage to use the apostle ability three times. The real point of the deck is the Apostles, and using them to do fun things. People think that the deck is going straight for a "beat face with demons" approach -- so it's a common occurrence that they destroy the 6th apostle before I have a chance to activate the ability... which is why the plan is actually to kill them in any way possible to generate zombies, eldrazi spawn, elementals, cards, dead opponent creatures, etc.

Actually, I'm going to add one more -- demon of death's gate (which has been in and out) because it's often the case that drawing it is not a complete waste, since it has the alternative cost.

Actually, went with pit spawn, so that when I have meekstone out and someone is coming at me with a hexproof, indestructible rafiq, I still have a blocker that can handle him.
