All we want is fair pay for a day's work of grinding and compensation for any Eldrazi related incidents while on the job.
So the main point of this deck is to use Zada for lots of fun times. Since Zada is an ally, I decided to take advantage of that in the creature area, with some monastery swiftspears thrown in as otherwise my lowest cost creature has cmc 3. I know that it is currently very spread out in the amount of different cards, but I have never been good at deciding which cards to cut. One thing of high importance to note is that I definitely want to keep the deck at a price where it can still be considered moderately budget.
~Brief tangent on my history with deck building.~
I have never been that good at deck building, yet despite that fact, I have always liked tinkering around with building. All the decks I currently play are EDH, so I normally do not play with multiples of a non basic land card in a deck, which has possibly lead to some of my indecision with cutting cards for this deck. Also, the EDH decks I do have, as well as all standard decks I have built, have been mainly been built by a good friend of mine. The way it usually goes is that I get an idea for a deck, I tell him about it after failing to build a deck based of that idea, he modifies the idea and builds the close to final product, which I then modify slightly to try to fit my original idea more. This is pretty much the first deck I have built, that I consider to be good, without his input.
~End of tangent.~
Anyway, constructive criticism and advice would be appreciated, doubly so if the reasons for any changes or recommendations are explained clearly so I that I can understand where I went wrong and learn from it.
Partial Sideboard Explanation:
If the opponent is running a deck that prevents me from getting through, I put in some
Ondu Rising
,
Lantern Scout
and Felidar Sovereigns. Then I hold off till Felidar Sovereign can give me the win.
Ruthless Instincts
allows me to effectively defend against flying Eldrazi. Cards like
Hedron Blade
, and
Lithomancer's Focus
will give me defense against Eldrazi, while the third
Center Soul
will be boarded in for deck with little to no devoid colors. Finally against removal or counter heavy decks, I board in Greenwarden of Murasa to bring back cards, especially Zada or an relevant instant or sorcery that I have already used, though against counter heavy decks, Greenwarden of Murasa probably won't get through either.
