This is...the greatest thing I've ever seen. When funds allow I'll definitely be trying this or at least something similar. Beautiful.

Saw the title and was like: "I'm so damn tired of squirrel tribal." Read the description and was like: "Why don't I own a squirrel tribal deck?"

This deck is beautiful. If i were going to spend 2500 on mtg, this is what i'd use it on

I love it!! If you crave for more squirrels, add Chatter of the Squirrel, Squirrel Wrangler, Squirrel Mob, and Squirrel Nest

@Guardians Don't get me wrong I would add those cards in a heartbeat to a squirrel tribal deck, but in one where the entire entire purpose is to defeat your opponent with only one squirrel, adding a second squirrel kind of defeats the purpose.

I think I have an idea that could be an interesting take on this deck if my handle on the rules is proper.
Reality Ripple would phase out your squirrel. Within my understanding, this does not count as leaving play. However, as a token, it would not phase back in, and would just cease to exist. Then you could just continue to be invulnerable (barring enchantment removal) as you drop lands and then kill them with any other creatures you already have. Mother of Runes already gets your guys through.
This theoretical deck is probably not better than what you have here, but I think it's kind of a neat way to mess around with this card. Neater, at least, than Energy Field + Rest in Peace.

That's a really interesting idea... The problem is that Form of the Squirrel stops you from playing cards, so anything I do as a win con must already be on the board and stay on the board. Instants just don't work.

i play tested this deck, it is very good but a few more beaters would make it better i still enjoy tha idea

@bujinteiyamato I wish I could add more beaters, but when the idea is to kill your opponent with only one squirrel, more beaters kind of defeats the purpose. Those creatures which are already in here are only here because they contribute to the protection of the squirrel token.

Assault Suit on the squirrel, just in case someone is running sacrifice stuff.
December 30, 2014 3:21 a.m.
@TwoMagicDudes I love the idea, and if Assault Suit were less expensive mana wise I would run the card in a heartbeat. The problem is that against most legacy decks it's difficult to make it to turn 4 as a combo deck, and nearly impossible to make it to turn 5 without already having used your combo, especially against other combo players. It is for this very reason that I don't run Neurok Stealthsuit over Lightning Greaves.
Ray of Revelation is usually enough to keep me in the game on the rare occasions that I am forced to sacrifice the squirrel though.
I do however very much appreciate the idea... If only the suit didn't cost so much mana D:

I know, I meant it more as a joke. I mean, this isn't really a legacy deck, technically.

@TwoMagicDudes Touche. This was supposed to be a joke deck. Once I found it it was actually semi functional though... well I want to keep it semi competitive.

I play tested this and found it to be pretty good. Way too expensive for someone as cheap as me. However, the one issue I saw that destroyed this deck was Golgari Charm and other battlefield -1/-1 type cards. The squirrel dies and you lose, whether it is indestructible or not. Unfortunately, I don't have much to help besides maybe a few Counterspells or maybe some cards that add +1/+1 counters? Not much help, but since you designed this nice deck, maybe you can figure this out.
