The Hermetic Triumvirate

New Prahv, the home of the Azorius Senate, is a labyrith of streets for the foreigners to this district. The austere and classical decoration of the buildings suits well the tenets of the guild: They consider laws and order to be the best tool to stop crime and chaos. The Azorius Senate believe they were the only guild who could assure the Guildpact was accomplished, but not everyone agrees. Their obsession for structure and protocole is often interpreted as an attack to the freedom of act and expression of the citizens of Ravnica. The Senate is divided in three columns:

{WU} Jelenn Column

The main task of the Jelenn Column is the making of the laws. They stipulate what actions are allowed to the citizens and what should be punished. The spells that represent this Column can be found in the Prison sections. Prison spells, like Authority of the Consuls or Propaganda have disadvantageous abilities for the opponent in the long term of the game.

{WU} Lyev Column

The Lyev Column makes sure that laws are applied in the correct way, stopping those potential criminals from commiting their misdeeds. There are many examples in the Control and Counters categories. Control spells, as Pact of Negation or Subjugator Angel provide sudden disruption, preventing enemies from building their strategy.

{WU} Sova Column

The purpose of the Sova Column is the judging of the law-breakers. If a citizen is proven guilty, he will be exiled or executed for his crimes. The Removal and Sweeper sections contains examples of this. There are solutions against any threat: Swords to Plowshares for creatures, Return to Dust for enchantments and artifacts or Detention Sphere for any kind of permanent. There are also spells capable of restarting all the board, like Worldpurge, perfect for desperated situations.

{WU} Knowledge and Progress

Azorius Guildmages need to be witty and refer to the appropriate decree and apply it at any moment to make sure the order is preserved in the city. Most of them cultivate spells that improve their mental agility, some of them are Cloudblazer, Arcanis the Omnipotent or Sun Titan.

Triumvirate of Commanders

This azorius deck has been designed to fit the playstyle of three different legendary creatures. You can use any of them as your commander and have a different game experience every time:

• Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, the main general.
• Isperia, Supreme Judge.
• Azor, the Lawbringer.
