Shield of the OversoulMTG Card: Shield of the Oversoul seems like a MUST in Sigarda, Host of HeronsMTG Card: Sigarda, Host of Herons voltron. Hunting GroundsMTG Card: Hunting Grounds could also be of some use here. And Weathered WayfarerMTG Card: Weathered Wayfarer is always a boss in white. Also, you need more artifact ramp like Mana VaultMTG Card: Mana Vault, Grim MonolithMTG Card: Grim Monolith, Basalt MonolithMTG Card: Basalt Monolith, Thran DynamoMTG Card: Thran Dynamo, Gilded LotusMTG Card: Gilded Lotus, Selesnya SignetMTG Card: Selesnya Signet, etc.

Druids' RepositoryMTG Card: Druids' Repository, Vow of DutyMTG Card: Vow of Duty, Vow of WildnessMTG Card: Vow of Wildness, Armored AscensionMTG Card: Armored Ascension, Bladed BracersMTG Card: Bladed Bracers, and Blessings of NatureMTG Card: Blessings of Nature seem rather below the curve of most of your other stuff. My main thing would be this: is this deck voltron? Or is this deck more utility. Wolfir AvengerMTG Card: Wolfir Avenger is good in a regular deck, but he's just a 3/3 that can regenerate in EDH and that slot in your deck can probably be used more effectively for something else.

If you wanna voltron Sigarda, some general artifact suggestions:

Darksteel PlateMTG Card: Darksteel Plate, because indestructible will also guard her from typical board wipes - except for Black Sun's ZenithMTG Card: Black Sun's Zenith, you'd need Melira, Sylvok OutcastMTG Card: Melira, Sylvok Outcast for that, then you'd be just about totally uninteractive. In a creature, you could add Spearbreaker BehemothMTG Card: Spearbreaker Behemoth for the same purpose. And since you have white, you could go ahead and use those wipes yourself.

FireshriekerMTG Card: Fireshrieker a cheap card to get more damage through

Whispersilk CloakMTG Card: Whispersilk Cloak it seems almost like cheating to use it for your commander, but your opponent(s) will have to find an answer for it pretty quickly, so either it'll win you the game or you'll draw out their artifact removal.

Darksteel PlateMTG Card: Darksteel Plate and Shield of KaldraMTG Card: Shield of Kaldra are both already in the decklist. Also I've noticed that I'm strangely still in a better position than my opponents most of the time even when they board wipe (aside from when they are a "run 15 planeswalkers" control deck), my biggest issue though was when I'm dealing with other voltron type decks (specifically Rafiq conscripted) I'm hoping upping my spot removal will fix this.

FireshriekerMTG Card: Fireshrieker is probably the kind of card I'm looking for! now I wonder if it's a replacement of Inquisitor's FlailMTG Card: Inquisitor's Flail or along with for redundancy...

As for Whispersilk CloakMTG Card: Whispersilk Cloak I have done some playtesting with it and the shroud lost me a few games. Though now that I look at gatherer Trailblazer's BootsMTG Card: Trailblazer's Boots looks like it's what I need as I have yet to see an edh deck that isn't half nonbasic mana base!

Now I'm sure if I ever acquire those creature tutors they'd probably find their way here, but I feel they'd be tutoring Stoneforge MysticMTG Card: Stoneforge Mystic every single time.

whoops, I see now you already had Darksteel PlateMTG Card: Darksteel Plate. But still, I would recommend FireshriekerMTG Card: Fireshrieker over Inquisitor's FlailMTG Card: Inquisitor's Flail, one CMC more to cast, but the flail is much riskier, it makes it easier to be blocked and killed.

The shroud will only work against you on your opponents' turns, just unequip and re-equip on your turn. How did you lose games because of it?

Demarge says... #7

because I'd need another creature to be able to unequip it and equipping it early kept me from being able to buff her up enough to properly race.

you ever seen Shield of the OversoulMTG Card: Shield of the Oversoul? in your case it gives +2/+2 and indestructible. (meaning your creature can never die. They cant edict, target, or wrath your general.) Also, IndestructibilityMTG Card: Indestructibility might be up your alley.

To be honest I would focus on making her indestructible and then go from there. There is nothing worse then staring at a hexproof AND indestructible creature.

Yeah it's been suggested in my first update, and I will probably have to find one somewhere (started playing in besieged)

personally in my Bruna, Light of AlabasterMTG Card: Bruna, Light of Alabaster deck I like Steel of the GodheadMTG Card: Steel of the Godhead more but meh. Damn edh and it's restrictive colors.

With so few non permanents you could also try Primal SurgeMTG Card: Primal Surge or Genesis WaveMTG Card: Genesis Wave to get some quick board presence.

KevinLS says... #12

imo, 13 permanents is still too many for Primal SurgeMTG Card: Primal Surge.

I believe you meant to say 13 non permanents.

Well nothing like pulling a foil copy of your commander in prize packs to make you want to really get this deck running.

I feel that Aura Shards would certainly fit into any G/W deck, including this one.

I will think of Aura Shards and as for the sword of x and y package please look at the other deck linked in this deck's description.

Awesome build +1, my only suggestion is Condemn would be good for another source of spot removal

I thought you might like Far Wanderings because it reminded me of the book and its crazy good. could even replace Cultivate

September 7, 2012 3:28 a.m.

Demarge says... #21

Condemn would definitely be good to tuck away an opposing general, but it's a bit conditional and it's one of those cards some people don't like to play against. If I find room I could consider it.

Far Wanderings ' threshold is pretty good, but it doesn't offer what Cultivate does if I cast it early and that's to be at at least 5 mana the next turn to cast Sigarda, but it could be useful in Ghave in progress (if I ever manage to cut the last 15 cards...)

+1 for name alone.

Thanks, though any opinion on the deck beyond the name? I've been thinking of finding room for a Chromatic Lantern to try to smooth out the occasional all utility land hands.

It looks like your plan will definitely work. I'm wondering how you usually get killed. If it's combo then I'd play your maybeboard's Return to Dust and Relic Crush. If it's creature hoards I'd play Aurification and Beacon of Immortality. Peace.

My biggest killer of this deck Rofelos was actually when someone would take 5+ turns in a row or when I'm ganged up on (the last one happens to me almost every game... it could be due to the fact that I seem to always win multiplayer if they don't)
