ok, but explain (detail needed) why Cathedral Sanctifier is better in the face of removal. you could always lay a turn one warden into a turn two martyr and have open mana to crack it if they target it... also, is there a reason you don't use Path to Exile

does this deck ever see 1v1 play, or is it only for multiplayer?

it comes in with the 3 life so there's no way for me to not get those 3 lives unless it get countered (which there is minimal to none). martyr is also a dead draw late game. i think the most important part is just that its not as reliable.
Path to Exile is generally unnecessary. and i only have one. there's a reason my decks are very simple. they're made to let me have fun by annoying the heck outta my opponents, not for and competitive magic

it sees both. but rarely as my friends think this deck is "overpowered"...

ok, I will lay off on the martyr... it doesn't change much if its not competitive like my mono-white Soul Sisters deck. I just always found that a martyr staring back at me in my opening hand is too good a feeling to pass up, and I did used to have the sanctifiers in there (I have three foil ones that I pulled and they are beautiful foils) but I took them out because they didn't provide the boost I needed, and were often after all the big spells on turn three or four when I just empty my hand... and Its almost insulting to be pushing 60-70 life on turn 4

I would take out one Chalice of Life Flip and 2 Felidar Sovereign , I know that you designed the deck around the Felidar, but it is up there on the curve and if you took two of him out you could probably do it with 20 or 21 lands. also on the land base I would run only plains as your basic, with all the 1 cmc white cards you might want all your lands to be white sources... and you would still have 12 green sources for your 8 cards that require it.

well, i actually only have i think 2 sunpetal groves at the moment... man, i generally take out cards i feel i can do without but right now, there's nothing in here that i would want to take out... what would you say for swapping out all the chalices?
August 15, 2013 1:08 a.m.
It would work, and you have enough big creatures to finish them off, you don't need the chalices... they are somewhat slow and can clunk up your hand, and you need draw if you have so many small drops

You have green why not go infinite with Spike Feeder

Ah okay. Just thought I'd throw that suggestion into the hat. +1 btw love Soul Sisters

thanks! i always appreciate any constructive criticism :)

I built a really rude Soul Sister deck back in the day that slapped Path to Exile or Fog on Isochron Scepter that's a fun combo. I like what you're doing here though seems much more offensive.

yeah. i really like this deck as its sorta aggroish but the life keeps me going against other aggro decks. all that life gets annoying.
August 18, 2013 12:54 a.m.
i mean, i have to outrun my friend's decent goblin deck, other friend's mill deck, and my other other friend's big eldrazi deck. :)

If you need another big beater, not that I think you do, you could throw in Ageless Entity

its too expensive and does too little too late. i did have him in my original build but he didn't preform very well so i cut him. thanks though!
