djpickering- ahh. i see. well, i would much rather this still be playable. i wouldn't want to kill all the creatures i just cast :P
SeanLandDGeorge- both of those are great, but they don't do enough. gaining life just by itself will not win games. :/ and honestly, i rely more on damage to win than by Felidar Sovereign
RESR- like i said above, i don't need that much life. yes, this is a body and yes, it grants me double the life, but it's too costly and would never be used in combat as far as attacking goes.
to be honest, those 3 cards you guys mentioned would do wonders in a deck based around Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance , but this is not that deck, which is why i choose not to include them. i have many other life gain deck ideas that include a boros decklist, an orzhov decklist, and a junk decklist as well as a monowhite and a monogreen decklist. there are cards that i will and won't put in each decklist because they have different focuses even though they all include gaining life

Anything that uses Felidar Sovereign as a win con gets an Upvote from me.

ducttapedeckbox- i know you're not the best at this type of deck, but you have really insightful advice regardless so i hope you don't mind taking a look at this. i decided to take out Felidar Sovereign just because i feel like i won't get to 40 life against the decks i'm playing against. i now have 2 empty slots. as of right now, i have Warden of the First Tree in but i'm considering putting in Elspeth, Knight-Errant or Ajani, Caller of the Pride or even both. what do you think? any other card you think would fit well into the deck?

You know, is the green worth it? Essence Warden could turn into Martyr of Sands, Rancor could be Honor of the Pure, and Warden of the First Tree could go towards something like Ranger of Eos.

i find that the extra Soul Warden ability really helps with Ajani's Pridemate and Archangel of Thune and the Rancor helps me get damage in through chumps.
... now that i really think about it, it would be better... my timmy side refuses though. i'll have a timmy/spike argument now. thanks lol XD

If you do decide to go down the Mono-White route but want to keep Warden of the First Tree Figure of Destiny is a great replacement.

i think i like this build more, but i did tweak it a bit. the mono-white route imo is better if your opponents aren't playing consistent creatures because it can generate a ton of life on its own, but this deck is better if your opponents do play a ton of creatures, which is my current situation.

Also, if your opponents are creature heavy, you may want to consider things like Fog or Moment's Peace. That way you can narrow down your creature field and still stall them.

ixiduffixi- lol. here's your response. Abzan Battle Priest is unnecessary lifegain. also, fog type effects are keep your life total up... which lifegain also does. so since i have Ajani's Pridemate and Serra Ascendant and Archangel of Thune, i'd rather have lifegain over fog

I think Rhox Faithmender would work wonders in this deck.
