• Soul Warden & Soul's Attendant both of these creatures can accelerate our life total past thirty very early on in the game. this lets you play a longer game giving you more time to pick off your opponent.

• Champion of the Perish & Thalia's Lieutenant these creatures pump my field and pump themselves based on the number of humans that are played on my side in the game.

• Imposing Sovereign this creature makes any blocker your opponent plays, useless for the first making it easier to swing for lethal damage.

• Gather the Townsfolk & Thraben Doomsayer token generating is important for a deck that that pumps and gains life based on the number of creatures you put on the field. getting extra bodies on board not only helps with the theme of the deck but also gives more threats to your side of the field.

• Frontline Medic allows you to swing into threats without worrying about losing your creatures late in the game. it also makes day of judgement incredibly useful because your creatures survive the wrath.

• Honor of the Pure & Fortify both of these cards are to pump the creatures on our side of the field for lethal damage. being able to swing with a bunch of 1/1's for lethal damage because you gave them all +1/+1 or +2/+0.
