I hear casting Hero of Bladehold; Garruk, Primal Hunter; Gideon Jura; or Elspeth Tirel on turn three is pretty good. That was the basic thought that started this deck. So, we began working on a GW control decklist. After playing with it, it's somewhat of a control/midrage hybrid (with actually a pretty explosive early game). So I'm not completely sure what to classify it as. Regardless, it's quite strong against almost all the field right now. It can race aggro, it is faster (but has just as strong threats) as control, and has the necessary tools to dismantle combo. The consistence of the deck is pretty high, too. But the list is probably not completely perfected. We've been thinking about trying a Karn the Liberated into the list and maybe about upping the land count to 25 (especially if we add Karn).
