I feel like you don't want to hit more than one inverter each game so, if it is in your budget, I would recommend grabbing 2 new jace or some other kind of looter (and taking out 2 inverter). Otherwise, I think the deck is sweet and torrent elemental is definately a good call for the deck

hubatish: You're probably right on the elemental. Dead draw, and not as great a back up plan as I first thought. Buried Alive is kinda a super budget, not quiet the same Intuition seeing as less critters and all, they tend to show up less. How many more Tasigur? Remand... never really been a fan, seems redundant minus the cantrip of course. I figured Logic Knot because delve, but duel blue could be an issue. Mana Leak it is. Not sure if Delver fits in, great T1 and lots of spells, but does he just take up space?
LDM393: Baby Jace is way out of the budget as are fetches unfortunately. I try to keep to cards under $10. As mentioned above...Torrent Elemental is kinda cutesy.

Not sure on the Tasigurs. They're nice & big threats though, so you just want to draw them. Maybe 5 Tasigur/Gurmag Angler? You're specifically not trying to fill your yard for Inverter, so it's gonna need some testing.

I like the idea of 4 Thought Scour in here. Another draw spell is always good. It also mills you for Tasigur, the Golden Fang. It can also be used if you can't quite empty your whole grave when you cast Inverter, you can then cast Scour the next turn removing 3 more cards.

Replace Probe, Seize, or Visions? Kind of thinking Seize myself.

Actually, I'd drop Probe. It doesn't do much for this deck that Scour can't. I'd also swap 4 Spell Pierce for 2 Dispel and 2 Remand in the main. Seize buys you a lot of time.
For the sideboard, I'd start with 3 Inquisition of Kozilek, 3 Hurkyl's Recall, 2 Drown in Sorrow, 1 Languish, 2 Far / Away, 1 Jace, Architect of Thought, 1 Gurmag Angler, 2 Vampiric Link. Tune it out from there.

Other options to include also include Echoing Truth, Darkblast, and Spellskite (although skite's expensive).

I am very intrigued by this list! fun little combo. For more redundancy with a draw engine, maybe Think Twice? It allows for a draw and then recast from exile if you have a lab maniac on the field. +1 from me!

The idea is to mill yourself basically, so not sure how Phantasm would be much help. Be better if it included my own GY. Also Inverter is 1cmc less than leveler if your lands come out right anyway, with the relics you can manipulate the graveyard so that you have what's needed to win like can trips and counters. Leveler gives nothing in return so you have to rely what's in your hand if you haven't spent it already. If I'm missing something do tell, just my observation. Thanks for the interest, and suggestions.

I will look into the flashback aspect and see if there is anything cheaper maybe. Also would need to figure out what to replace which is always difficult.

Splash white for Unburial Rites with Gifts Ungiven? I know it's a different deck, but the idea would still work well, not only as a tutor, but as grave return if you run 1 of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Iona, Shield of Emeria. As for the lands, I'd pull the Sunken Hollows for the shocks and fetches in your maybeboard. I'd go with 2 shocks, 4 fetches personally. Tasigur's Cruelty might be good as a 1 or 2 of here. Because you're going for control, losing life to Dismember is relevant, so maybe Go for the Throat or Victim of Night too. I'd still keep like 2 Dismember, but idk about a playset. the dimir pacts (Slaughter Pact / Pact of Negation) could also go in mainboard or sideboard.
Cards with transmute for 3/4 drops: Clutch of the Undercity, Dimir House Guard, Dimir Machinations, Drift of Phantasms, Perplex. I'm a fan of Perplex. Crookclaw Transmuter technically has "transmute" in it's name and it's a 4 drop if that counts for anything lol.
Love the deck; keep it up. +1

I agree with Spellskite. I wonder if I could mash this up with my deck PsychoHorrorCardDrawCrazy.

SoggyWaffles777 While Leveler does almost the same thing it is essentially a 10/10 beater that can be chumped for days. Inverter, while 4 power less, has a bit of evasion as well as a buffer incase someone decides to nail Labman or otherwise mess with our gameplan before we get to where we need to be. Oh, and it costs 1 less to boot. If you have any other arguements to convince me otherwise...

That clears it up. Thanks! Still awesome deck.

Of course, agree is combo.
But I think you need to work on the backup plan. Inverter of Truth is kinda a 6/6 flyer, and (unlike Leveller) he doesn't immediately end the game. Instead you've got a few turns where you're drawing all the sweet interaction you played earlier! So consider a tempo shell with the subgoal of protecting Inverter of Truth for 4 (often only 3) turns.
So some suggestions about that: More Tasigur! Less 5 mana Torrent Elemental cuteness. Probably Remand or Mana Leak over Logic Knot. Buried Alive is probably also too cute, but Spell Pierce/Dispel/Stubborn Denial seem good.
Also, radically, can Delver of Secrets Flip go in here?
