Based on a combo idea from Conley Woods, this is an attempt to make a deck that distracts with a flurry of 1-drop chumps until the necessary Jeskai Ascendancy and Retraction Helix come into hand. Once these cards are available (as well as any creature and any 0-cost artifact are in play), the deck goes non-linear and wins unless the opponent has an instant removal available. Ideal draw would allow 1-drop on turn 1, 1-drop on turn 2, Jeskai Ascendancy on turn 3, Tormod's Crypt and Retraction Helix on turn 4. Then we're off to the races.
Tap Tormod's to clear opponent's graveyard (to prevent delving for an instant), Tap Retractor creature to return Tormod's to hand, Play Tormod's which untaps all creatures and allows a Loot. Tap Tormod's to keep opponent's graveyard empty. Repeat until Altar of the Brood is looted, play it, then continue cycle (without the optional card draw) and mill the opponent out.
Tormod's is not strictly necessary, but it's better than the alternative zero-cost artifacts. Altar of the Brood is not strictly necessary either, since all my creatures will be getting +1/+1 for each round through the infinite retraction cycle. If I have more creatures than the opponent has blockers, I can win on combat alone.
Deck is weak to removal of artifacts, enchantments, or creatures. If opponent is tapped out on mana or has no instants when the retractor is played, this deck wins. The weakness to artifact removal is somewhat ameliorated by Darksteel Citadel, which cannot be destroyed. However, most artifact removal spells will work equally well on an enchantment, and the Retraction Helix won't survive that. There are four of them in the deck, however...
As an alternative to the same end, casting Retraction Helix on Midnight Guard when the 0-cost artifact is an Ornithopter allows for the same effect once Altar of the Brood is down, and doesn't require Jeskai Ascendancy.
Another alternative... put an Aqueous Form in play to make one of the +inf/+inf creatures unblockable and move in for the kill without needing the Altar of the Brood.
