Don't forget Madcap Skills . Burn the other guys away and swing with a super powered Champion of the Parish . But against RDW, Volcanic Strength might be a better choice.

Another question for you. If you have a Silverblade Paladin and a Lightning Mauler paired and swinging, defend has a Boros Reckoner only, doesnt give it first strike because it's T3 and has no mana open and blocks the Silverblade Paladin .
First strike damage:Lightning Mauler deals 2 to player
Silverblade Paladin deals 2 to Boros Reckoner
Boros Reckoner ability triggers, dealing 2 to Lightning Mauler (killing him)
Silverblade Paladin loses double strike (due to un-pairing) and is then killed by Boros Reckoner in normal combat damage, yes?

No.
First Strike damage happens first. Silverblade Paladin would lose double strike... but the first strike part of double strike had already been in effect. So, it would then still do normal damage.
At least, thats my understanding of it.

I just looked it up for curiosity's sake.
Ruling 702.4c. Removing double strike from a creature during the first combat damage step will stop it from assigning combat damage in the second combat damage step.

Nice deck, and a nice concept, but I have trouble with mana consistency. Too much mana comes in tapped, due to the lack of basic lands. I'd consider dropping green. I think this deck would run a lot more smoothly as RW

Well, i stand corrected. Thats a neat trick that makes Boros Reckoner even MORE overpowered... ugh. At least i own a playset... but its SO frustrating to play against.
@zebraface, it would probably be a lot more consistent, and then i would replace the green cards with more boros-y things. However, i really really enjoy Naya, so i think i'd have to fiddle around with the choice of duals/shocks. I havnt had too many problems during games (despite what playtesting this deck shows), its actually quite reliable.

The deck looks strong, as always. If only I had the cash for the land and the reckoners.

Bwahahaha I already have 2 playsets.... (in all fairness 4 of us combined our collections and have 1 person trade because he's been playing since forever, we have a binder of nothing but standard dual/shock lands, then all the great playsets of cards we need. and finally 3 binders of trade stuff)

Jeebers, if you have everything... what do you need to trade for? (same problem, but not at THAT level)
February 11, 2013 1:55 p.m.
First, Reckoner is 18 on SCG, second mostly for fun edh stuff and there are still 4 people and sometimes we have crossover stuff we need, and the most important reason PROFIT, buddy made almost 150$ in trades yesterday alone

The answer I choose is right! advice on joining a collective if it lasts too long sometimes you will notice yourself using words like "we" to describe yourself or what your playing..... everytime you do the collective grows strong
February 11, 2013 2:01 p.m.
we only lend cards to about 3 people outside of the collective, or we trade with them.

I have, I know its a lot of effort to click on all the updates, and check the comments there, but there has been a lot of discussion about Champion of Lambholt . Personally, i love the flavor of the card, i love how it works, i used to run it in an older version of this deck.
BUT
I believe she is too slow for the deck i'm trying to set in stone. Sure she is amazing when she gets going, but this deck is all about the burst and speed. That is why she is not in the list anymore. Silverblade Paladin and Boros Reckoner are far better for the 3-slot.

@Vos_Is_Boss evasion is definately the prefered method, especially when you can swing with your 6/6 or 7/7 Champion and Boros Charm him
