Hey guys, Sorry i didn't address each of your suggestions one by one, I have taken each into careful consideration and I've made some changes, I am no longer going by the French Ban List and I think it may help! Thank you all, feel free to take a look!

Very good EDH deck! I like it a lot. Just one question, why Sundial of the Infinite?

April 17, 2013 7:11 a.m.

Thank you very much Jason! I really appreciated the comment and the praise!

As for Sundial of the Infinite - it is soo easy to abuse the Unearth ability of Sedris, the Traitor King Because it makes it so the Unearthed creature doesn't exile at the end of turn due to some janky card wording! :)

Ghostly Flicker means that your really powerful creature will stay on your field. Misthollow Griffin is good buds with sedris also :D dredge is also good for filling your graveyard, so cards like Darkblast can be helpful. Repentant Vampire can either be instant unearth removal or just a solid creature, when your graveyard has 7 or more from constant milling.

i also believe that you should run Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

You may consider Proteus Staff . It seems like a good followup after unearth, and a good way to tuck an enemy commander. The potential to repeat polymorph over and over is good in the format. Kher Keep would be good with this.

@KingSorin: Thank you for your advice, I am seriously considering Misthollow Griffin because there is absolutely nothing my opponent's would be able to do to get rid of it aside from locking it in place.. I do like it but I'm not sure if he's worth putting in as opposed to my other creatures! I picked one up and I will see how it works out for me!And as for Repentant Vampire I just think the other creatures in my deck fit the theme and feel of my deck better, thank you for your input though, something to consider :)

@ M12fox: Thanks Fox, I've thought about Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker a lot and he might find a place in eventually, I'll pick one up because he seems pretty great for EDH!

@Hewhobertrays: I like Proteus Staff .. I never thought of it as something to do to my own creatures after Unearthing them, I think I'll have to check this out! Thank you for the advice! Also Kher Keep seems pretty powerful, especially in unison with my Skullclamp ! I might just check this out! <3

Looks fun! Whispering Madness could be useful for filling your graveyard, and I agree that you need Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in a Grixis deck, because he's just plain awesome.

April 23, 2013 8:03 p.m.

Thank you man! I will try to work him in there! Do you think Liliana of the Veil is a fair swap out for Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker ?

And I will look into Whispering Madness that could be fun! :)

Also don't forget to +1! :)

Have you thought about using a Mikaeus, the Unhallowed ? He gives you another bounce back from the grave. or maybe a Attrition ?

or a Grimoire of the Dead to ditch guys to the graveyard then revive them all?

April 27, 2013 2:27 a.m.

I have considered him, and I think he could very well find a way into the deck for that extra ETB effect if someone decides to try to kill one of my creatures, I'll study my deck a bit and see if he can find a place, he seems like he can be very solid in this deck build.

And as for Attrition I also think that could go in, especially paired with Bitterblossom Thank you for your suggestions! I really appreciate them, how do you feel about the deck in general? :)

April 27, 2013 2:29 a.m.

And as for Grimoire of the Dead I considered it, but it seemed like it would kind of slow me down. :/ It's getting down to the wire now and I think that the other cards are good enough to beat it out..

I texted you about this and I am not sure but, Sedraxis Alchemist ? Feel free to disagree, but I figured since it was Sedraxis related maybe you'd be interested.

Thanks man, yeah I was a bitch and went to bed early last night lol. I can tell you're getting an eye for cards that make sense in decks, he would actually be pretty good in my deck if I had more blue permanents.. sadly I am fairly light on blue, let alone permanents, since lands that produce blue technically aren't blue permanents.. and spells like Forbid and Hinder aren't permanents.. but if I did have more blue permanents I'd definitely consider him, thanks for the advice man :)

For reanimator style decks, Reliquary Tower can sometimes hinder one of your outlets for dumping critters in the yard. Unless you have a lot of draw engines or your meta likes to do mass bounce effects, you shouldn't need it. Jace, the Mind Sculptor was brought up earlier in this thread. Mixed feelings across the board on. Him, but I have ran him in multiple decks. My conclusions on him: too fragile for EDH, but he does draw hate cards / creature Aggro. If you are wanting him for that purpose, he is good. I now think he is too fragile, and if you don't have one already, way overpriced for what he could do for you in EDH. Another great card I run in my dedicated reanimator deck is. Insidious Dreams . It allows you to dump critters in the yard and find animate spells...at the same time. It would be fantastic for your deck, and its very cheap (both mana and dollars). Cabal Coffers /Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth combo is next to broken, but how reliably can you get them out? I only see one potential kill card for excess black mana if you do get there. Profane Command . Exsanguinate is another solid (but can be considered douchy) backup to command. It is not uncommon for mono B decks, if unchecked (Controlling Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Vesuva, Magus of the Coffers ), to be able to pump out in excess of 50-75 mana. Granted usually only happens once or twice in a meta before it adjusts to fight that... Last thing for now, you run Liliana Vess . I run her in mono B too. Much cheaper than JTMS and achieves the same goal. However, since your deck is largely Black based, Liliana of the Dark Realms would be a better fit. Her ultimate is awesome but not really necessary...being largely black, she would significantly help you mana fix.

A lot of my opinions on cards have been altered due to meta experience, so take it for what it's worth. Deck looks fun. +1 from me.

@Geniusholmes13: Thank you for the compliments and the advice. I will try to address things one by one!

Reliquary Tower has been disputed both ways in my deck, but I have decided that I have enough draw power in my deck, especially when I am still trying to work in Rhystic Study and I find myself wanting to pick and choose what I want to throw in the graveyard, rather than being forced to discard things at the end of each turn if I find my hand overflowing.

I think Jace, the Mind Sculptor is an amazing card and the best Planeswalker, but in some ways I agree he isn't vital for the theme of my deck. As for Liliana of the Dark Realms I have considered her for a long time and that is a very valid point, I will pick her up and see how she works for me. Thank you for pointing that out for me :)

As for the Cabal Coffers / Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth combo, I find myself surprisingly often, if it becomes less reliable then I would have to take out Cabal Coffers since Urborg is such a great Mana fixer for my Black heavy deck, But when I have gotten that combo it has swayed games, I do see what you say about reliability though.

Thank you for your advice yet again and it has given me a lot to think about and I will be making changes soon! Also Insidious Dreams is amazing and that will for sure find its way into my deck! Thanks again. :)

so apparently sundial doesnt work. and everyone must understand the Unearth Ability. once the unearthed creature leaves play it immediately gets exiled, so you cant flicker it to make it your own creature.

secondly sundial is an delayed trigger, which means even if you cut to the clean up step, you still have to exile the creature at the next players end step.

this is very important to sedris players to know exactly whats going on. :) hope this information helped.

@ Aryuret: Actually, I looked it up and it does work! But thank you for your comment!

June 12, 2013 9:05 p.m.

Just kidding, did some more extensive research on Sundial of the Infinite with Unearth and signs lead to it not working.. what a horrible, horrible day.. :(

Have you considered Void Maw ? It acts as a replacement effect to your creatures getting exiled and you can put them back into your graveyard to abuse the ETB effect again. Not to mention he gets huge. AND he is graveyard hate for other re-animator decks.

Since you like Deadeye Navigator I think you would like these cards.

and then these three for more abuse

Hope these interest you.

Going through this even more, you can also abuse Godo, Bandit Warlord , especially if you decide to run more equipment.

And if you like drawing and milling with cards such asWindfall or Wheel of Fortune , I would suggest running Bonehoard and to even take more advantage of those discard/draw cards, why not combo it off with Notion Thief ? Lol super mean combo eh?

Oh yeah, before I forget. You can add Safe Haven and also Helvault to save your creatures from Sedris's unearth effect.

i highly recommend Kher Keep as it provides instant speed creatures to block that can also be used as Skullclamp fodder :)

July 7, 2013 12:52 a.m.

@outofnothing0: Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate you taking time to comment and give me suggestions! I really do love how Kher Keep Functions to produce a chump blocker and feeds the Skullclamp abuse, but with a 3 color deck it's really hard to work in a colorless producer, and the ones I have are pretty solid as is, but I have had Kher Keep in the back of my mind, I'll try it out and tell you what I think! :)
