Reworked the deck yet again. Just waiting now for Boros to hit when Gatecrash releases.

@DrGodCarl I've thought about putting in Burn at the Stake , just need to get one. Thanks though for the suggestion.

I'm in the same boat as you, I can't wait for the next way of Boros in Gatecrash!
As suggested above Gather+Malcontents is a really run way to hurt you opponent. I would say try to find some room for Cloudshift to pump your Champion, and blink your Malcontents in and out.
A shameless plug, but I run a human boros deck as well, and it did very well at FMN before Rakdos came and ruined the party. Check it out if you want a few ideas. Bacon!

I run a pretty similar deck that does pretty well against my friends. deck:fiery-dawn-overhaul

Check out my Boros deck: deck:rw-boros-assault! I have played it against friends primarily, haven't gotten around to FNM yet, but it has performed VERY well. You'll want to refine your creatures into more 3-ofs and 4-ofs for consistency.
The 2-tap slot for white decks is very competitive, but I suggest cutting down some and finding two-three 2 CMC creatures that you can't live without, then running 3-4 of each.
I have had the most success with Lightning Mauler . He really pushes the aggro to its limits. A turn 1 Champion of the Parish , turn 2 Lightning Mauler , and turn 3 Silverblade Paladin is 11 damage on turn three. Other great 2CMC creatures are Nearheath Pilgrim s and Elite Inquisitor s. With a slimmer 2CMC slot, I suggest Stonewright s in the first slot. Pairing them with a first striker is very nasty, as their firebreathing effect (+1/+0) is especially useful in that scenario.

@ Wolfbrand I'll be sure to check your deck out. Also thanks for the suggestions. I'll look them over and see how each one does.

Maybe Burn at the Stake for a surprise finisher? Could be good, given how many creatures you can get out.
