I think the Phylactery Lich is a really cool concept for a card, not to mention its a 5/5 Indestructable on potentially the 3rd turn. Tag it with a Whispersilk Cloak or maybe Inquisitor's Flail, add Whip of Erebos and you're in business.

I like the equip artiacts because they work well not only with the Lich but also with the other creatures in the deck (Vampire Nighthawk, or Erebos, God of the Dead if you have the devotion).

I would love comments or suggestions that could make the deck more consistent, or more self sufficient until I have time to get the Lich out. I haven't really thought about what my Sideboard should look like, mostly because I'm still unsure of what to surround the Lich with. I'm relatively new to Magic (certainly new to building my own decks!) so any help would much appreciated. Thanks!
