I've been playing burn since '96, big fan of the style and this deck in particular. But wouldn't a few Thermo-Alchemist help out?

Can you explain Eidolon to me? Wouldn't it kill you?

Nobody in my playgroup plays red and I'm looking to try new things.

@AnwynnEidolon of the Great Revel can be dangerous for you too, indeed. That's why you should be playing carefully with it on the board. The point is that Eidolon of the Great Revel will either block your opponent (if he or she is uncomfortable with taking damage for casting spells) or deal damage reducing his or her life totals to zero more quickly caring less about your own life totals which is any Burn deck is about

personally I'd go ahead and throw the cages in the sb for graveyard hate (noticed it in the maybeboard) but I'm a pretty new brewer, and the deck looks solid as is, but with BR Hollow One being such a force in the meta it might be beneficial

@thetogglebogle – thanks for your input!

I've got 3x Rest in Peaces in sb. Do you think Grafdigger's Cage is better than it?

I have started to building this deck, halfway done. A few playsets and manabase to go, I find it a lot better than boros burn.

This deck is really cool. I like the idea and I might try it. Also how did you do the special background? Thanks!

What's your thoughts on Phyrexian Unlife as a sideboard card against the mirror match? There's a particular ruling I came across when looking it up:

"Phyrexian Unlife won’t affect damage that reduces your life total from a positive number to 0 or less. For example, if you’re at 3 life and are dealt 5 damage, you’ll end up at -2 life. The next time you’re dealt damage, it will be dealt as though its source had infect." -Gatherer

This means for 3 mana you can effectively gain 10 or more life without getting wrecked by a Skullcrack. Also if you're up against Ad Nauseum decks they'd have to resolve a second Lightning Storm just to deal lethal damage as the first Lightning Storm wouldn't be able to apply poison counters.

Arguably I could see why Kor Firewalker would make a better substitute over the Phyrexian Unlife, yet the Unlife would likely net you more life gain than the Walker. Also the walker is dependent on red spells being cast whereas the Unlife's benefits aren't as conditional.

Ghosty, can you update the deck to the new toys we got in RNA like a skewer and Luts, plus the new sunbaked canyon in Modern Horizons, should I include those
