Cool, I like the custom categories. In fact, I think they'd be pretty helpful here. How do you do it?

SirFowler you could have a separate category for convoke stuff.

electromancer Well, I'm on my phone and I can't create the categories right now, but when I'm on my computer I'll change them.

What you do is add # and any word at the end of cards in the deck list. Then you hit the 'edit board' button and you'll be able to change the default setting to custom categories.

The list looks great either way. It's totally up you, but it would make easier to browse for "play for free" mechanics if you needed to be here.

I still need to work on it a bit. I'm just working on some other things at the moment, but I'll have it finished by the end of the week.

What is everyone's thoughts on Demigod of Revenge? Sure, you can return each creature with the same name, but you still need to cast it in order to do so.

I don't think Demigod of Revenge could be considered free. There's really no possible route of playing it free without some other card that says play stuff for free.

I dont think Chord of Calling can be free since you have to pay the green mana right?

actually most convoke spells are that way if I'm not mistaken, or maybe I'm just dead wrong haha

@Murderotic, Read what Convoke says. "each creature you tap while casting this spell pays for 1 or one mana of that creature's color." He doesn't have to pay for it if he can use a creature with the same mana color.

Murderotic The way the wording for convoke is, it says you can tap a creature with the same color instead of paying the mana cost. So it is possible to cast it for free.

Faerie Macabre, Simian Spirit Guide, Elvish Spirit Guide, Street Wraith, and similar cards probably belong here.

I'm not sure if I should include those or not. They do have a pseudo cast like effect, but not necessarily a cast in of itself. I do have return effects and stuff like that, but in the end I'm not sure. I'll add them to the maybe board.

I would consider them "free spells" far more than I would something like Bloodghast, which almost always requires the use of mana to go to your grave, and is "free" due to a triggered ability rather than being castable anytime like Dread Return etc.

You convinced me. Are there any others I might have missed that I should add? I might be missing some from the new set, but I'm not sure if I am or not.
