I'm thinking of adding my foil copy of Warped Devotion. What do you guys think? It's kind of a silly combo with Sigil of Sleep on Nekusar.

You can actually build a deck on a budget with him as a commander i spent a total of like $46 on mine and it makes people take 65 damage per draw

Most of the cost of the deck is its mana base. You can play without the expensive land if you want. I would recommend it for beginners/casuals/poor people lol. If you read the description I dont actually own the duals for this deck or the Polluted Delta and Mana Crypt. I think the fast mana is important though if you're in a playgroup that will kill you just for shuffling up at the beginning of the game with Nekusar...

I'd recommend Curiosity, it just works too well with Nekusar, the Mindrazer + Psychosis Crawler.

Curiosity doesn't actually work with Psychosis Crawler as it specifies that the creature must deal damage. The crawler causes loss of life.

It does work with Nekusar though. It gives me a lot of potential draw, and it's a may ability so it doesn't force me to deck myself...that being said, I don't necessarily need more card draw, and I'm more interested in disrupting what everyone else is doing so I don't die.

First of all, I love this deck's name. Good work.

Second, I'd like to echo the recommendation of Curiosity. Although it is not a combo with Psychosis Crawler, it is a combo with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. You may want to consider cutting Prophetic Bolt if you decide to make room for it. I may be missing something, but Prophetic Bolt just doesn't seem all that impactful. Starstorm could be another reasonable cut, since you already have so many board wipes that are more mana-efficent.

I was more referring to Curiosity on Neku, because then Psychosis Crawler pings every time that Neku does and doubles your kill speed.

True, the three cards together are good. I'll consider it further, I'm just not sure I have a spare copy. Mine are in my Guttersnipe deck It's Raining Cards (Hallelujah!)

Either way I could cut Prophetic Bolt. I'll make the change.

If you like Curiosity, I recommend Tandem Lookout it makes the deck a little more resistant to spot removal. Ophidian Eye is kool because it has flash and you can play it easily with Fork. Interesting deck +1

Have you seen Phyresis?

I'm cosying up to the idea of infect not being any less broken than my buddys Scion deck that uses Worldgorger Dragon+Animate Dead to end the game.

Well you are already running Sigil of Sleep, and that's equally as diabolical, haha

Knowledge Hurts That's my nekusar deck. Wooo nekusar player! I'm gonna outright suggest Dream Halls cuz it's crazy with Consecrated Sphinx and honestly this whole deck. I also like using Sire Of Insanity buts that's probably a personal preference.

Sorry, this is my deck if you want to see. I guess someone else took my deck name.

I could see Dream Halls hurting me a lot in a forcefeed style deck. Keeping their hands full and letting them discard cards to cast spells seems like a bad plan, unless I'm also running Forced Fruition. I like the idea of killing someone with their own lust for knowledge. Too slow and unwieldy I think though, unfortunately. I'm trying to make this deck as close to a 75-90% as possible. I need more tutors and counters.

I'll have a look at your deck.

May 5, 2016 6:57 p.m.

For counters how about Arcane Denial?

Grafted Exoskeleton to make people hate you and to speed your clock up dramatically

July 31, 2016 7:30 p.m.

MindAblaze says... #22

I pretty much only play with my friends so making them hate me is not really the best option, but they're pretty competitive and understanding. I like the idea of Grafted Exoskeleton but I'm not sure what to replace, as the most obvious choice is Helm of the Ghastlord but I like my shiny version, and the flavor is on point. Thoughts?

Elder Mastery seems bad to me because it's soo expensive and for Nekusar you'd rather play a wheel than that plus you have some artifact synergy via Tezzeret

MindAblaze says... #24

Elder Mastery is under the microscope. The effect is very powerful, especially when I wheel but for the same amount of mana with no color restrictions all I have to do is force ten draws. Downside is they blow up the artifact I'm down a commander and have wasted X-pings since it's the only source of infect.

Sir_Jinx says... #25

There are a couple enchantments that can give him infect I just said Exoskeleton because like I said you have some artifact synergy however I do see your point but I personally feel that the effect is too powerful to pass up if you're concerned that you'll lose Nekusar when they blow up Exoskeleton there is Phyresis
