2021 Update

I have been using this deck in the past and it was super strong. I have no idea how it will handle the current meta, so I am hoping to get some help on updating it. I have added some new cards to update it (this deck hasn't been really updated since 2013!--most of the needed cards are pretty old). The idea is to ramp like crazy using tron lands and to play big guys. Sadly I have no clue how this will fair against decks like 4-colour control. I think I made the side up to date a bit, and I am debating running 3 Veil of Summer in the board. I was hoping to design my side as a bit of utility for Karn, the Great Creator. I really wanted to add Hydroid Krasis for its utility in card draw, life gain, and as a large body. Thanks for the help!

After a bit of research, looking at other green modern decks, I have added enough cards to greatly improve the consistency of the deck. It typically will have the ability to produce 10+ mana turn 3-4 and rip out an eldrazi around 5-7 (having 18+ mana), depending on draws, I'll admit I wish GSZ was in play, but I have managed to work around that. Magma Jet allows the deck to look and see if what is needed will pop up shortly, usually looking for an Overgrown Battlement or Primeval Titan, the 2 key cards. other cards allow to search out win cons like Tooth and Nail and Reap and Sow. Winc cons include: Prime time beat down or Raging Ravine beatdown with Kessig Wolf Run's help. dropping an Eldrazi, Devil's Play, and hopefully more to come.

This will hopefully be my first modern deck, and I'll admit I know little of the modern meta aside from a vague idea of certain popular decks. I really need sideboard help and advice on how to deal with decks that will give me problems. Thanks and +1 if you like.

Updates Add

land: adding in another tron set and Vesuva, Misty Rainforest, Flooded Grove, Breeding Poolfoil, Hinterland Harbor, Academy Ruins

Spells:Gifts Ungiven, Simic Signet, Blue Sun's Zenith, Remand, Condescend, Compulsive Research/Thirst for Knowledge

SB: Life from the Loam--I heard Jund has a nasty land destruction spell, but I do not remember if it exiles or not. it is sort of like "destroy target non basic land and its owner searches its library for each land that shares a name with it and..." either exiles it or puts it in the grave.
