Interesting lemmingllama, I hadn't really given persist much consideration for this deck. As you mention, I can see the Mimeo target value. Woodfall in particular would be great - Blow up some cards and give Mimeo trample + added resilience with persist.
I agree, Sudden Spoiling is awesome. I run it in a couple of other decks - I like the versatility & surprise factor. I may try to find a home for it in here, thanks.

I was running Corpsejack Menace for a while and ended up taking him out. Maybe I was just unlucky with him but in my experience he was usually sniped before I could abuse the +1/+1 counter party on Mimeo. Funny idea though marioman77, the sheer mightiness of the Mimeos you could cast with Corpsejack & Season out!

Putrefax is a great card to get with Mimeo, especially when combined with a fatty to swing for 11+ trample infect.
If you need any more suggestions just check out my deck The Slimy Druid of Death.

Great idea Kryzis, thanks. I checked out your Mimeo deck. Holy, it looks mean. I'll need to fit Gaea's Revenge in here to for that 1 shot Mimeo kill with Death's Shadow.

Thanks dajuggerz, I'll check out your deck and see if I can help.

Ghost Quarter is great with Archive Trap. let them search, act like you're doing them a favor, when you're really setting them up for a huge mill. in a worst-case scenario, it can be used for mana fixing for yourself. I also made a mimeo plasm deck, would you mind checking it out?

You should definitely add in The Scarab God This would be an amazing edition.

Yeah, The Scarab God could be decent in here. Might give it a test run for a bit to see how it plays. Thanks NeuroDrain.

Upvoting. Huge fan of the Mill theme! 5 turns in and they've lost half thier answers, but you've got them at your fingertips. Check out my Mimeo if you get a chance. Great stuff!

Thanks very much TheConscripted. Mill doesn't always work in EDH but it certainly makes for some interesting + unique games, especially when you're taking advantage of your opponent's graveyards. I'll check out your build, cheers.

Have you considered playing Kederekt Leviathan? Comboing it with Animate Dead / Necromancy multiple times can essentially win the game in my experience.
I also really like Mesmeric Orb, but I run it mostly for the self mill so I'm not sure if it's perfect for your deck.
I feel like Rhystic Study is obvious, but you've probably already dismissed it if you're not running it by now.
I haven't bought a Champion of Wits yet, but it looks like it's made for Mimeoplasm.

I haven't considered Kederekt Leviathan for this deck before, but now that I see it I think I want to try it out. Not always an effect I'd want to happen, but I like the toolbox element (e.g. if my board state was weak and I needed to buy some time - it's almost like a less good Cyclonic Rift).
Mesmeric Orb is great, I think I dismissed it due to the sheer number of mill cards I'm already running + I don't necessarily want to self mill (I know, weird for a Mimeoplasm deck, heh).
I'm currently in the process of making custom categories for my decks so that I can quickly see the basic 'needs' (ramp, removal, tutor etc.) and I can see that there's a real lack of card draw going on in this deck. Rhystic Study is awesome and is always a welcome value card to any deck running , but if I can only squeeze 1 replacement to add more draw I'm leaning toward this Champion of Wits - I haven't seen this guy before! Definitely an interesting option and like you say, a great Mimeo fit.
Thanks for the ideas, VETJasper, you've got me thinking here.

How about Wonder or Torrent Elemental? The second one is great for a game ending sweep with mimeo, and you can reuse it as much as you want. Wonder potentially makes all of your dudes unblockable.

Hey otters! You're right, those are definitely decent additions to most Mimeo builds and I've run both of them in here before. I can't remember exactly why I swapped them out and now that I see them again I'm tempted to give them another go.

Have you considered Undead Alchemist? I think it would go great with your mill theme, and build an instant army for you.
April 28, 2018 11:45 p.m.
I like where your head's at riotmonster, but because Undead Alchemist's second ability exiles creatures from graveyards, it doesn't mesh with my 'reanimate opponent creatures' strategy (UA's first ability isn't really warranted considering I'm only running 1 other zombie). Certainly a funny potential zombie swarm win condition that I hadn't considered before, thanks for the suggestion!

I run a Mimeoplasm deck too, and i really suggest you to put Necromancy and Dance of the Dead in the list instead of Beacon of Unrest to reanimate faster. Sylvan Library is a must in a green deck since you're playing a multiplayer format as well as Worldly Tutor and Vampiric Tutor.
Land recursion could be a great addition too with cards like Ramunap Excavator and Wasteland, because only Strip Mine is not enough sometimes. You might also consider putting Necrotic Ooze with his combo into the deck, or try to make more room for some big guys such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur wich helps you a lot against slower matchups.
If you want some suggestions take a look at my Mimeoplasm List:

Thanks for the suggestions andrea98, I appreciate it. I'm already running Necromancy & Animate Dead so I'm not sure if Dance of the Dead is worth it in here. It's a cute card (legit love the art) but the continual cost to untap is annoying. Sylvan Library, Vampiric Tutor & Worldly Tutor...yeah they'd all be awesome in here. I'll look to make room for those if I can manage to get my hands on any of them (I have a few of each but they're all in other decks).
I also like the idea of additional + recurring land kill options with Ramunap Excavator + Wasteland, definitely evil. I'll take a peek at your deck to check out the direction you went with, cheers.

Hey man!
I'm brazilian Magic player and I love and play with Mimeo since 2012... My deck is very similar to yours, however I believe my tactics are more direct and objective in giving a one hit kill on the opponents and with a control style.
Please take a look at my deck ... I would love to talk about it with you... Thank you!
August 15, 2018 2:49 p.m.
I've used the theme of mill before, but over time I realized that I was very dependent on the opponent's deck, not to mention that when they realized that I played with mill I became target at the table ... So I decided to leave to a more direct style of play.
Sorry if my English is not very good. rsrs

Have you considered using persist creatures? Woodfall Primus is a great reanimation target by himself, and he also allows you to keep The Mimeoplasm from needing to be recast. Additionally, Puppeteer Clique lets you reanimate your opponents creatures in order to get the ETB triggers, plus it has evasion if you use it for a Mimeoplasm target.
Sudden Spoiling is a card that has treated me very nicely. You can use it to make sure that their flyers can't block The Mimeoplasm, use it as a Fog for their attackers, or have it as a way to kill that annoying hexproof general like Sigarda, Host of Herons or Narset, Enlightened Master. In all the times that I draw it, it has never been a dead card.
