Hey Gruul, your English is just fine! I checked out your deck and there were definitely some great choices that I hadn't ever considered before, particularly Blackcleave Goblin & Krosan Cloudscraper. I've also been thinking about adding Putrefax for ages, so I think I'll finally give that a go.

As for the mill theme, that's just personal preference. This deck is potent, but I don't need or want it to be at a cEDH level - I'm more of a 'kitchen table with friends' player. Although there are instant kill options in here, I'm not trying to go for that every single time. I like a bit of variety and simply wanted to have 1 mill themed deck and Mimeo scratched that itch.

Have you tried Panharmonicon? I don't know how well it would work with everything else, but it would essentially let you rip 4 creatures when you cast mimeoplasm. But I'm not sure it would work well otherwise.

I love Panharmonicon and use it to great effect in my Roon deck, but I fear it's use would be too narrow here with only Mimeo, Champion of Wits & Eternal Witness reaping the benefits. Funny idea though Nickosis, it definitely makes me curious as to how that would work with Mimeo - presumably it would gain the power/toughness stats of all 4, but would it effectively be a copy of 2 of them? As in, have both of the creature's abilities or would I still be stuck with choosing 1 of them. Interesting!

I was just rechecking the orcale text on Mimeoplasm, since it says "As The Mimeoplasm enters the battlefield" it is considered a static ability with a replacement effect. So darn, doesn't work the way I thought.

love the deck man; here, take my upvote :D

i just started building a mimeoplasm list. lots of good ideas here. i want it to be able to race my friend’s hyper-tuned xenagos list, but also able to durdle a bit and be fun in multiplayer. been fun so far.

Thanks very much scrotality, appreciate the deck kudos. This Mimeo build is a lot of fun to play and there's definitely enough tricks in here to keep your opponents guessing.

Really cool deck, and reminds me of one of mine from a while back: Mimeoplasm Mill - All Your Graveyards

Your post inspired me to do a couple updates. One of the reasons i stopped playing millmeo, though, was that most folks i played didn't like the mill-others theme. What have you run into?

Hi Buzzo, long live Melvins! It's true, no one likes to be milled but most people I play with know that mill isn't really the major threat so they're usually not too salty about it. The only time milling is a major threat is when I'm paired up alongside another mill themed deck in two-headed giant matches (my friend runs a MilleoPlasm deck too, also runs Phenax because he's an absolute mad lad).

Long story short, now that you've made some deck tweaks/updates I think you should dust it off and give it another try to see how your playgroup responds.

Nice decklist! I was wondering if you were considering Yargle and Multani as a target for Mimeoplasm's ability? 18 power sounds pretty sweet to me!

EtEarello, absolutely. I plan on picking that card up + Breach the Multiverse to add to the deck soon. I'll be sliding BtM in place of Keening Stone, unsure what to swap out for Yargle and Multani but I'm definitely going to find a slot for that funny/beefy pairing.

Hi, nice deck! I'm currently brewing one as well, thanks for all the good ideas!

Have you considered these cards? Mesmeric Orb Think about how much you untap during a game! Syr Konrad, the Grim This really depends and may not be worth it. Sepulchral Primordial I think this one is better than Sheoldred because it gives instant value and has evasion. She is cool but i prefer the primordial.

Great suggestions Mr_Tobiah, thank you! All 3 of those cards have me spinning my wheels and I'm thinking on adding all 3...

  • Mesmeric Orb - I like that this card pulls double duty in getting Mimeo targets in my graveyard + seriously milling everyone else as they untap their lands etc. This will really punish the go wide token strats in my playgroup, heh.
  • Syr Konrad, the Grim - I was kind of iffy on this guy, but the 1 dmg to each opponent factor is pretty spicy, especially when paired with some of the splashier group mill cards (e.g. Maddening Cacophony or Mind Grind). Not a bad mana sink either.
  • Sepulchral Primordial - I think you're right! The ETB factor pairs well with my mill strat & the instant boon vs Sheoldred's slower grind makes a lot of sense here, good call.
