There is a couple of good creatures i can suggest - Laboratory Maniac makes it so that you can win with mind over matter and temple bell/atlas. Another suggestion would be creatures that create wheel effects e.g. Robber Fly . I would replace archamge's ascension for it. I also like Exquisite Blood to keep yourself alive.

I removed Archmage Ascension and Vicious Shadows and added Robber Fly and Exquisite Blood .

I removed Vicious Shadows because although it fits with my other cards, I have no consistent way of activating it.

I don't really feel the need to add Laboratory Maniac because my opponent would lose from the damage before my library is empty.

i have a similar deck on a tighter budget,but since nekusar can tend to mske you a target pretty quick i use fogbank, Guard Gomazoa , Vampire Nighthawk and Baleful Strix to keep opponents off me long enough to get the deck fired up. Im also big on artifacts that just punish for even having a hand Black Vise and Iron Maiden are fun as well.love Nekusar!

I'll see which cards I'd be willing to drop for Guard Gomazoa and Baleful Strix , but I don't want to drop anything for Black Vise or Iron Maiden because I feel my draw spells will outperform them.

Quickflash upon seeing the new printing of Black Vise im gonna take it out of my deck since it only affects 1 opponent. I was running the revised version in my deck and the wording made it seem like it affected all opponents. deathtouch fliers are always a good deterrent for people coming at you.

Now this is the Nekusar deck I am aspiring to! I just realized that my suggestion of robber fly is bad, since it only triggers upon being blocked. You could try to substitute it with a cool aura for nekusar:

Curiosity , Elder Mastery , Sigil of Sleep , Helm of the Ghastlord immediately spring to mind.

also, just realized that Liliana's Caress is missing.

I had thought that I had already included Liliana's Caress but it seems I was wrong, so I'll remove Robber Fly for it. I am already running Helm of the Ghastlord , and I am considering Elder Mastery , But I need to decide what to drop first.

I don't know what to remove in favor of Sigil of Sleep so could you give some recommendations? As for Curiosity I feel that the card draw would be too much and would do more harm than help in most cases.

Firstly, you can always remove some lands for some mana rocks, which I have found recently are very, very good in putting down an early nekusar and making sure you can recast him. +3 signets, -3 basics.

Otherwise, i would remove the toil//trouble for sigil of sleep. You almost never want to target one player with your draws. Other than that, omniscience is very ambitious. I could see it go for something like Vampiric Link , another card that is perfect for nekusar or elder mastery is very damaging.

Also, prepare to free up some space for M15's Waste Not in the summer, finally a fourth megrim style effect.

I also see I have forgotten to mention Phyrexian Tyranny . I like to live on the edge with my nekusar, as it fits his flavor, and this is a perfect fit, plus another nekusar-style effect. i would remove perhaps 1 more land for a total of 36 to do so.

I had originally considered Phyrexian Tyranny , but seeing that it deals damage to me as well, I had decided not to include it, since my wheel effects and card draw would just wreck me. However, I think I will keep it in my maybeboard in case I'm feeling particularly self destructive one day.

I will remove Toil / Trouble to make room for Sigil of Sleep and I will remove 2 Mountains and 2 swamps to make room for Dimir Signet , Rakdos Signet , Izzet Signet and Vampiric Link .

I'm not totally sure I want to scrap Omniscience completely, as the ability to play all the cards I draw for free seems preety amazing. So, I'll be moving it to the maybeboard for now and swapping it with Elder Mastery

Thanks for all your helpful input! If all goes well I should acquire all the cards for the deck by the end of the month, then its just a matter of finding people to play against. I'll be sure sure to post here about how it goes.
