Perhaps replace the Marsh Flats with Creeping Tar Pit ?

Creeping tar pit's cool, but not very practical. Plus marsh flats thins the deck out of land which really helps

Hedron Crab is a bit slow if you aren't running some form of land based mana ramp, instead consider more defense like Leyline of the Void and AEtherize . another option could be more cheap counter magic like Dash Hopes .

Also consider some sideboard hate against artifacts which are very popular staples in modern

Hrmega5 i like Leyline of the Void and AEtherize for sideboard, and I'll think about Dash Hopes , I'd rather have it just be countered, so i think I'm going to stick with Mana Leak and Remand , but maybe.

I just got done playing you're deck a few times, Forget what i said about Hedron Crab Keep it!!!!!!! it works really well if you have a slow start.

If you just want to counter it, don't use remand bud

Yeah hedron crab is a beastttt. Especially with fetchlands, anything else to report on your playtests?

May 14, 2013 6:02 p.m.

slagathor3 says... #9

That's what mana leak's for, remand's for late game when i need to stall and mill em out

I think some form of hardcounter would be preferable here, i.e.Psychic Strike

May 14, 2013 6:04 p.m.

slagathor3 says... #11

Oh yeah that's actually a good idea I'll throw in 1 or 2 of those

May 14, 2013 6:06 p.m.

Jay says... #12

You should run 3 or 4 of it really, with less of the others if any. I really think Remand doesn't do much for this build.

May 14, 2013 7:03 p.m.

slagathor3 says... #13

That does make sense, Psychic Strike works more towards the goal.

And judging from your taste, you might like Bloodchief Ascension as well if you had a reliable damage outlet. Maybe Countersquall or Vapor Snag . Especially if you throw in Mindcrank

Oh and Traumatize with Haunting Echoes is hilarious

I like the ideas, most of those I was considering for sideboard.

I like Bloodchief Ascension a lot but any ideas on how I could make it work?

May 14, 2013 8:15 p.m.

EnjoySaeli says... #18

Mindcrank , to work with that Bloodchief

May 14, 2013 9:28 p.m.

slagathor3 says... #19

Not a fan of infinite combos, I also don't know if I'm going to add bloodchief or not.

Otherwise that's a great idea

EnjoySaeli says... #20

True, I thought that's what you meant. :o Duskmantle Guildmage could help you proc it a bit. Kinda slow, though.

Your biggest problem will be decks that use a lot of recursion, such as Eternal Witness. I think you need to turn 4x Leyline of the Void in your sideboard or else your deck will tutor for your opponent.

slagathor3 says... #22

KaraZorEl that's why I have 4 Surgical Extraction haha. But yeah I do agree with you I should have more leyline
