Thanks so much! I have to admit, I saw the mechanical synergy first, then realized the flavor match afterwards. But it certainly makes it even more enjoyable to play!

I ordered the whole deck,(minus the fetches) for $50 dollars. Pretty happy to have a unique deck to play, thanks for the list :)

Upvote for the name alone. Damn, the Foundation series is my favourite book series.

ThEpicMTG how did you order everything for $50 with the aethervials? I am just wondering because id love to get that price for this deck list too lol. I am thinking of building this myself aswell! @Solaria This list is sweet and im off to the library to check out the books while i type this at school. How has the deck preformed? have you been able to play-test it?

sorinmarkov2000 Sorry for the confusion, that was in reference to an earlier, vial-less build. It had Wall of Omens instead of Aether Vial, and after bringing it to an FNM, I realized I needed to keep my mana available to respond to disruption, so I took my playset of Vials from another deck and slid it into this one. I'm still playtesting it, but the current build has a great balance of synergy, efficiency, and responsiveness. I'll post an update when I've tested it out some more.

Went 2-1 tonight at FNM. Didn't face any top decks, unfortunately, but it still felt good to get this deck out there and let it run!
Went 0-2 versus Infect. I'm not used to facing such a fast deck anymore, so I don't think I played well against it. Kept hands that would've been fine with 20 life, didn't get going with just 10. Want to test this build against infect some more before I make any determinations, but got outplayed today.
Went 2-0 against a rogue U/R control deck. My control matched up well against his control, and my Golem army was too resilient for him to overcome. Fun match, but can't draw anything from it regarding Solaria vs metagame.
Went 2-0 against Bogles. Outraced it both times, which felt great! Without a Champion of the Parish and Aether Vial in your starting hand, this deck can take a couple of rounds to take off, but once it goes, it goes so fast!! This is why I'm not convinced we're bad against infect, today's results notwithstanding.
All in all I had a fun outing, and enjoyed putting this deck through its paces. Didn't learn too much metagame info, but hopefully the next FNM I make will be more instructive.

sorinmarkov2000 I built the deck before the addition of the aethervials, I would love to get a playset of them but toooo expensive. and I definitely skimped on the land base and sideboard when I did order it the first time.

Eldrazi Displacer can help so you’ll have another way to blink stuff.

You do have quite a bit of 3 drops though. If you want to add it, you have to reduce the count on some of the other 3 drops.

It's a good idea, and prior to Soulherder's introduction, Eldrazi Displacer was my main blink engine.
The problem is this deck is pretty mana hungry, and it's usually late in the game when I can spare 3 mana for a blink. It's also a bit awkward because I only have 4 lands that provide the colorless mana required to use Displacer's blink, and putting more in would lower my decks consistency.
That said, I appreciate you taking the time to look at this deck, and I always appreciate any advice given, even if I decide against taking it. Thanks so much, hope you had/have a Merry Christmas!

You should run Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant over Ajani's Welcome.

Let’s say you want to make this budget and not include the Flooded Strand and Aether Vial , what would you recommend to replace those?
Love the deck, +1!

SnakeByte77 Great question, and definitely one I've given a lot of thought, since others have asked it over the years. Nothing will do quite the same job, but Glacial Fortress is an excellent budget mana fixer. As for Aether Vial , I typically use it so I can save my mana for interaction, either with Ephemerate , Stubborn Denial , Dispel , etc. So, after looking at the Modern legal mana rocks, Springleaf Drum would be my pick for a mana cheap budget mana accelerator. Thanks for the upvote, hopefully you have fun with the deck!

Icbrgr Thanks so much! It's definitely my prize creation! If you build it, hopefully you enjoy playing it as much as I do!

Absolutely love the theme behind this deck! Hope you don't mind, but I made an offshoot of it so it's more budget and adapted to my legacy playgroup!
It mixes everything I love in MTG, Azorius, tokens, blink and card draw! Really excited to try it out.
