Keranos, God of Storms is awesome although kind of expensive. You need a sweeper, Anger of the Gods or Volcanic Fallout are both great against Delver. And shocklands are a must.

+1 how effective is chandra in here

I so would change your chandra into Chandra, Pyromaster she's a turn sooner, and her +1 and +0 are much more relevant in modern. You could also try Mana Leak over Rune Snag because snag can be ruined from graveyard hate cards easily. Also might want to consider Rakdos Charm for sideboard because that card is very effective vs twin, affinity, and other graveyard decks (dredge, goyf, Snapcaster Mage) also consider the fact ultimatum is a card that will rarely go off if your agaisnt burn so side those out vs them

shadow63 - Thank you kind sir, may as well have the PW until I can muscle up some Snappies.

Jamesfurrow

Thank you kindly for the advice! I believe maybe you saw my PW as

Chandra Nalaar but I appreciate it.

The problem I have with Pyromaster, although she is cool no doubt, her ultimate will never develop for me.

I can't afford Snapcaster Mage so Chandra, the Firebrand at worst is 2 Direct damage and copy a Cruel Ultimatum.

Both are 4cc while Nalaar is 5.

I do have 2 Rakdos Charm in the SB. It's incredibly helpful.

As far as Leak vs Snag: I agree and don't agree, I change my mind all the time. Leak is good for my midrange decks but my games tend to really grind and I am willing to discard a Snag making them useful later. But who knows, age-old debate!

Thanks guys!

Lol yea I totally misread the walkers. I still think Chandra, Pyromaster though be more beneficial because of her +1 and +0. Her 1 helps you get damage and pings creatures (1/1 tokens die, bigger stuff can't block) and her 0 will net you cards. (0 her before playing lands and you speed your deck if top card is a land or she gives you the top card as essentially the 8th card in hand) her ultimate is also not horrible but not what you play her for. I mean who wouldn't copy ultimatum 3 times if it's in the 10 cards you exile

HAHA - That would bring me a child-like satisfaction that would piss people off.

Hey, I honestly think for a blue control deck you are playing way too little countermagic. Cryptic Command, Spell Snare and even Remand are good additions. This also sucks that when you will eventually play your AEtherling and If your opponent counters it, you will be in hell load of trouble. You may try running few Creeping Tar Pits for more Wincons. Also in these grindy control decks cards like Sleight of Hand are just not very good because when you think about it they are not a real card drawers, they just cycle and I'm not sure if I'd want that. I's try adding few Think Twices instead. You prolly should also be more careful with all that discard or you will get into the "top-deck mode" and all the discard is gonna be just rly junky. And btw get your hands on more of these juicy fetches when they are still so low in price. but overall i like the deck +1 here!

Holy Shit.

I have been looking for a four drop since i stopped Desecration demon.

I'm going to check that out.

Many thanks

TheGoop

Thanks for the input.

I just took out 4 Rune Snag and 2 Spell Pierce

I want to try out the extra One mana discard spells.

I have had very good experience with 4 Sleight of Hand and 2 Think Twice but i see your point and it's a good one.

As far as the other cards go...

I am a casual player and have slowly been building my mana base.

This deck started with all check lands and evolving wild... Lol

It's come a long way.

Cryptic Command - I will never buy them. Too Expensive.

Spell Snare - 3rd on my wish list. Good looks on that.

Remand - I also don't want to buy because they are a stall. Great for U/W but i don't need them.

Awesome feedback dude

March 23, 2015 12:43 p.m.

Blightning is my wild card.

Sometimes it is devastating and wins me the game. But i also feel like it's awkward. I may junk it and have been torn on if it actually helps.

TheGoop says... #18

No, problemz. 3rd Spell Snare may be little over the top 2 is just about right.

March 23, 2015 1:06 p.m.

No i mean it's 3rd on my list of cards to acquire. And yes, it will be 1 or 2.

The best thing about Living Lore is that it's combat damage of any kind. Dealing to a creature or player or planeswalker, whatever. Cruel Ultimatum makes it an 8/8 and let's you return it from your grave to your hand and repeat the process!

March 23, 2015 1:34 p.m.

Yeah i am definitely going to try it out.

March 23, 2015 1:53 p.m.

I'm punting a Duress and something else for it.

March 23, 2015 1:56 p.m.

Jamesfurrow says... #23

That Acually doesn't repeat the Living Lore thing....ultimatum is exiled so it's 1 and done.... Also Izzet Charm like cards be needed to feed it into the graveyard to cast it earlier

March 23, 2015 2:41 p.m.

I would only use it to attack, sacrifice, copy.

March 23, 2015 3:08 p.m.

Izzet Charm is awful IMO

I have one in sideboard for no good reason
