The question is this: bant or naya?
Bant opens up the possibility of infinite mana with Freed from the Real,
Thassa's Ire
, or Crab Umbra, then seeking a mill win with Blue Sun's Zenith or the like, maybe even Doorkeeper. Good defenders include Fog Bank, Wall of Frost,
Wall of Denial
,
Kaijin of the Vanishing Touch
Naya opens up the burn win. Pyroclasm is excellent. Aurelia's Fury or Clan Defiance can be a win. Lightning Bolt is duh.
AEther Membrane
can really slow them down as well. I'm going to go for this first. I could maybe still go infinite with Sword of the Paruns or Umbral Mantle...
In more casual versions of this deck, I prefer
AEther Membrane
to
Wall of Tanglecord
for flying defense. WoT is a little more vulnerable as an artifact, but at 1 mana cheaper, 1 toughness more, and with no color demands, it's a much more consistent option to have air defense. Hopefully Kolaghan's Command won't eat me up too much or I might be in trouble.
Gotta figure how to strengthen the tron matchup.
More recently, I've been considering swapping out my lightning bolts for Lightning Helix. I run a slow game, and I suspect that the added padding of life might be a major boon. I also have recently procured a Spellskite, and may obtain a second, as it is a very potent weapon in many matches to have mainboarded(bogles, infect, burn, and others), as well as being able to divert hate away from valuable targets. It also makes for the interesting possibility of running 1 or 2 of an eldrazi titan, as I very often win via exorbitant amounts of mana. I'm currently going to test that build, dropping 3x bolt, 2x path to exile, 2x wall of tanglecord, for 4x lightning helix, 2x spellskite, 1x ulamog, the ceaseless hunger
Perhaps cut 1x Aurelia's Fury for Elspeth, Sun's Champion.
Boros Charm as an answer to Supreme Verdict might be worth doing.
Lush Growth
can fix my mana or shut down tron, which is cute, though if you boarded it in it would never be used to manafix I would think.
